    The Global Standards (GS) programme is HSBC’s strategic response to the findings of the US Permanent Senate Committee and the Deferred Prosecution Agreement with the US Department of Justice. It consists of three multi-year strategic programmes: The Client Due Diligence (CDD) Programme, the Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) Programme and, the Financial Intelligence Programme (FIP). The Financial Crime Risk (FCR) department combines these 3 functions.

    Financial Crime Threat Mitigation (FCTM) is the department that looks into large scale financial crime investiations, eg around Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing, Fraud etc.

    This team has been set up to research and deliver a Social Network Analytics
    (SNA) implementation using some of the most the cutting edge technologies available today to allow the system to scale up significantly, and take advantage of many new data sources.

    The front end developer will work in an Agile environment, part of the development team to research, design and develop a highly interactive bespoke html UI for intelligence analysts.

    The developer will work on innovative vendor product which have a range of applications across the Fraud and Financial crime market.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Responsible for designing and implementing a web tier solution using the technologies listed above, delivering high performing solutions to complex problems.
    • Responsible to develop the most appropriate IT solutions inline with the solution design, to meet customer needs, ensuring continuous improvement with responsibility to write the unit & integration tests performed by Test Engineers.
    • The role will require working closely with Project Managers, Product Owner, Technical Leads, Data analysts, server and web developers, QA engineers, and Business Analysts throughout the project lifecycle.

    Requirements:

    • >4 years hands-on HTML and javascript
    • Angular1 / Angular2
    • Agile development practices including BDD/TDD
    • Web sockets
    • Integrating with back end components
    • Excellent communication skills
    • TDD
    • Ability to navigate a complex organisation.
    • Ability to be self-directed/motivated.
    • Keen to learn new skills and approaches. Inquisitive nature.
    • Excellent organisation skills and capability to manage multiple parallel activities.

    • Strong development experience in Web development
    • Strong experience in user interaction design & wireframing
    • Strong development experience in html5, Javascript ECMA6/7, typescript, Angular
    • Strong development experience in SASS, CSS3
    • Strong design, development, deployment, SDLC.
    • Provide prioritization, planning, estimating, work assignments, quality assurance and mentoring at any stage of a project.
    • Identify and develop the Technical Design documents. Provide training, guidance, assistance, and knowledge transfer among team members.
    • Perform other duties as assigned. Overall a good general technical knowledge.
    • Willing to occasionally travel to the UK
