Your responsibilities

Financial Accounting, Reporting and Controls:

• Responsible for the reconciliation of complex and sensitive payroll related accounts

• Responsible for enforcing operational and financial control frameworks that are developed in line with Corporate policies and procedures

• Responsible for adherence to US GAAP and local statutory GAAP processes,

• Accountable for ensuring completion of all activities and controls required for period end close at a regional level

Process Improvement:

• Accountable for the delivery of continuous improvement activities in accordance with group strategy

• Responsible for root cause analysis associated with Payroll related accounts assigned to the role

• Expected to understand the end-to-end processes related to assigned account areas and contribute to input and output process improvement recommendations in external functions

People Management (indirect):

• Coaching, mentoring, and developing the talent that supports associated process areas

• Provides regular performance feedback and supports development/training plans for individuals associated with assigned process areas

• Rewards and recognizes awards and achievements

• Removes barriers that prevent the team from achieving goals

System Administration:

• Administration of Blackline account reconciliation system on a global basis

Our requirements

  • University Degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics/Business

  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with knowledge of General Ledger Accounting, Financial Reporting and multinational group accounting focused on US GAAP

  • Experience working in multi-national Consumer Goods business environment

  • Experience with ERP (SAP preferred) and regional/global US GAAP based group reporting systems

  • Experience in internal control and SoX requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially MS Excel

  • Proven communication (written and verbal) skills

  • Proven ability to effectively interface with various levels of management and influence decision making

  • Proven ability to analyze detailed information and solve problems on various levels

  • Proven ability to lead decision making across multiple geographies and stakeholders

  • Demonstrates ability to work independently, apply sound judgement and solve complex problems

  • Proven ability to lead a team and being able to effectively work across business functions
