General Accounting Manager

Your responsibilities

  • Supervision of the local accounting team including, providing work direction, review and approval of journal entries and accounts reconciliations;

  • Regular analysis of posted accounting entries;

  • Standardization and simplification of existing practices and processes;

  • Providing other colleagues within the local finance department with a daily effective support;

  • Prepare and review assigned month-end account reconciliations in OneStream accurately and on a timely basis;

  • Review and analysis of the calculation and postings related to accruals and provisions;

  • Monthly intercompany reconciliations with nVent Group entities;

  • Calculation of VAT payable. Preparation and filing of VAT declarations in accordance with the local tax legislation;

  • Calculation and posting of income tax accruals for US GAAP and Local ledgers. Preparation of IT declarations in accordance with the local tax legislation;

  • Accountable for all finance related statutory requirements;

  • Preparation of the annual Financial Statements;

  • Analysis of Company’s financial results by different cost centers and functional areas. Generation of cost saving ideas;

  • Coordination of internal and external audit activities;

  • Maintenance of control over the fixed asset system by ensuring that all asset additions, disposals and transfers are processed timely and are reconciled to the general ledger;

  • Development and maintenance of standard recurring journal entries;

  • Management of the internal control system in order to ensure that local and Corporate accounting and tax standards are properly integrated into all business processes;

  • Calculation of deferred tax assets and liabilities;

  • Communication with the sales, procurement, logistics (supply, disposal, storage) and customs clearance, lawyers departments;

  • Diversity awareness and keeping high retention rate within the finance department.

  • Perform other duties as requested and / or as needed to fulfill the purpose of the position

Our requirements

  • Academic background in accounting;

  • 5-7 years accounting experience;

  • Must have managed / supervised a team for at least two years

  • ERP experience, ideally JDE and/or SAP. AP automation and workflow tools experience is an advantage;

  • Practical and pro-active mindset in problem solving;

  • Good knowledge of local direct and indirect tax rules and regulations;

  • Exposure to multinational organization workings including knowledge of EU VAT and other taxes/deductions, banking and FX process and procedures, DOA, etc;

  • Advanced user of Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word;

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;

  • Experience with internal and external audit processes;

  • Desire for self-development.
