General Ledger Clerk with German
Workplace: Warszawa

We are looking for a Junior General Ledger (GL) Accountant for a newly established Finance Shared Service Center based in Warsaw, Poland. You will be managing the execution and all tasks, which are related to GL. Among others you will conduct journal entries, do the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, assist in month-end closing or prepare the VAT and intrastate declarations. Furthermore, you will have to maintain internal and external documents.

Responsibilities

  • Participation in process migration from Local Finance Teams to new established Shared Service Center
  • Perform the end-to-end accounting processes that may include [but are not limited to]: accounting documents processing, preparation of financial statements, etc.
  • Supervision of complete accounting processes for legal entities (receivables, payables, fixed assets)
  • Processing monthly expense variance analysis, Balance Sheet and P&L fluctuation analysis
  • Ensuring accuracy and data integrity in the end-to-end financial reporting process by ensuring compliance with the internal control requirements
  • Supporting Team Leader with organizational and administrational initiatives
  • Responding to queries from Operating Company, support Legal Entities and HQ on ad-hoc tasks
  • Balance sheet accounts reconciliation process including cash transactions reconciliation
  • Assist in performance of tax activities, VAT statements and Intrastate reporting
  • Manage and update internal processes and manuals (e.g. internal control system)
  • Contributing to General Ledger process improvement initiatives
  • Identifying and solving common cross-process (PTP, OTC, RTR) issues
  • Provide guidance and support to other team colleagues on technical, professional and client issues at the level of team’s daily duties
  • Perform other tasks related to the processes being established in SSC

We expect

  • University degree in Finance and Accounting or Business Administration preferable
  • Minimum 1 year work experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of SAP and Navision Higgs preferable
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel required)
  • Attention to detail and great organization skills
  • Solution-oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Team player highly motivated, flexible
  • Willingness to work abroad for extended periods
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
  • Good knowledge of German language as well as fluency in English
