Your responsibilities

Metsä Group Services in Gdańsk is looking for an Junior Accountant to General Ledger – Tax Team Department for a temporary position. Your role in the future Metsä:

• Involvement in VAT, Intrastat, CIT and Financial Statements reporting to compliance partners and client

• Involvement in VAT, Intrastat, CIT and Financial Statements reporting to Tax Authorities in certain EU countries

• VAT, Intrastat, CIT and Financial Statements output/input tax quality checks

• Cooperation with all VAT, Intrastat, CIT and Financial Statements Stakeholders

• VAT, Intrastat, CIT and Financial Statements area knowledge updates & sharing (trainings)

• Involvement in internal and external audit.

Our requirements

  • Bachelor, master or post-graduate studies,

  • Experience in working for a similar position and accounting knowledge,

  • English for daily communication,

  • Analytical and problem solving skills, incl. usage of MS Excel,

  • Basic VAT reporting knowledge(i.e. how to declare VAT, how to check quality, what are country specifics, output and input tax rules),

  • Cooperation with accounting partner / VAT compliance partner / local authorities

  • Being responsible for entrusted tasks,

  • Proactive and engaged attitude,

  • Ability to organize your own work, independence and orientation on the timeliness of entrusted tasks,

  • Motivation for development in the field of taxation.
