Your responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team of Finance Analysts to deliver the monthly statutory reporting for a market/cluster of markets

  • Work collaboratively with the 3rd party R2R transactional back office team based in India to ensure that the standard, repeatable activities are completed accurately and to the month end close timetable and to provide support when necessary

  • Work collaboratively with the local market and wider finance community to deliver the month end close processes, ensuring judgemental and market specific information is reflected in the financial statements

  • Support the completion of the various audit cycles and any third party/ad-hoc information requests

  • Ensure that changes to processes from transformation activities are embedded as well as identifying and acting upon continuous improvement initiatives

  • Prepare quality financial analysis and insightful commentaries to develop recommendations and solutions

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, governance and internal processes and procedures

Our requirements

  • Qualified finance professional or equivalent

  • English Language proficiency, both verbal and written, with the confidence to express clear opinions and ability to explain financial issues to non-financial management

  • Excellent PC skills and experience including SAP, BW, Excel and Powerpoint

  • Ability to work well in and across diverse global teams

  • Excellent communication and presentations skills

  • Confidence in working with Senior Management

  • High degree of accuracy with attention to detail

  • Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines

  • Capacity to solve problems, identify options and propose a reasoned solution

  • Strong analytical ability

  • Experience of working within regulatory frameworks

  • Working in a hybrid model of minimum 3 days per week from the office

Role overview

Support the Head of Finance / Finance Lead / Controlling Manager in managing the partnership between a specialist area of Finance, specific SET areas/enabling and/or external service providers.

Provide specialist advice and guidance to the business to manage the risks associated with their area of specialism. Support business relationships and provide reporting to inform business decision-making.

As Business Analyst, you will play an essential role in supporting the Finance Lead and/or Manager in the delivery of the team objectives. You will be expected to build and maintain a strong relationship with internal customers and Business Partners. You may be required to use your expertise to contribute to special projects across GFS.
