Your responsibilities

Summary of Role

Enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who will report to the Global Shared Services Center Manager and be responsible for general ledger and reporting activities for European Accounts Receivable area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the refining, developing and/or implementing general ledger process, maintaining service levels with internal partners and protecting ACNs assets. In particular:

• Participate in the month end accounting for Accounts Receivable area for European entities. This includes daily sub-ledger control, solving cases with Payment department, processing write offs and bad debt provision, subledger posting to General Ledger

• Monthly European metrics report preparation and gathering the data from other departments

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring reconciling items are cleared in a timely manner

• Completion of internal controls and quality assurance processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting entries and reasonableness of balance sheet positions

• Responsible for preparation, entering and retaining of all associated journal entries

• Preparation of support documentation to our external auditors for both the Global US-GAAP Audits and local statutory filings

• Identify and participate in process improvement and standardization

• Preparation of process maps, documentation and monitoring process updates

• Participate in projects as they arise in areas such as new systems and process improvements

Candidates are likely to have worked in an international organization and have first-hand experience in completing most of the above tasks. The role will be very “hands on” and will require familiarity and comfort in working with the large volumes of data, good accounting knowledge. The individual should be thorough, organized, and able to demonstrate attention to detail. Candidates must have a flexible” can do” attitude and enjoy working as part of a team.

Required Skills & Experience

• Recognised accounting or relevant qualification (or partially completed)

• About 2 years of general ledger experience

• Fluent written and spoken English

• Computer Literate – Microsoft Office (Excel and Access) and ERP systems

• Highly motivated, deadline driven, and ability to communicate effectively

• Ability to work collaboratively with peers and cross-functionally within the company
