Your responsibilities

  • The role is responsible for supporting operational budget control of production costs (COGS) across the entire scope of the Business Unit. The role entails interaction with the business units’ control teams and outsourced delivery teams.

  • Initial responsibilities in this role are focused on knowledge capture. It will take up to several months to transition the know-how into our Krakow center until the actual delivery will start. In that time, you will have direct exposure to the business unit or sector processes focusing on those that you will become responsible for; you will cooperate closely with key stakeholders to shape the service model; and we encourage you to identify, design, and document improvement solutions. On top of that, you will build business relationships, and pioneer a new way of working at our Krakow center.

  • Support to COGS accounting and support monthly HFM submission of Financial Statements

  • Responsible for rebates monitoring (calculation, accruals, control, coordination and business partnering)

  • Provide write off analytics and dashboarding

  • Supervising Stock valorisation

  • Generate costing run (re-valuation for monthly and annual forecast)

  • Perform journal entries, reconciliation, accruals, reserves to ensure the accuracy of financial statements during month end closing

  • Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations monthly, identify and investigate all variances and ensure that they are resolved timely

  • Prepare variance explanations of Balance Sheet and P&L accounts variance report on COGS

  • Work with the functions to prepare Balance Sheet Review content

  • Support accounting Manager and Inventory & Cogs Manager with ad hoc projects and workflow process improvements

Our requirements

  • University degree, preferably in Finance/Accounting/Economics or equivalent education

  • 1+ years of financial accounting/controlling/ operations experience (proven experience in a similar position)

  • Fluent in English

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project); ability to create formulas in Excel

  • Experience of Financial Reporting Systems and Databases e.g., SAP

  • Knowledge of US GAAP (will be huge asset)

  • Ability to integrate well within a team environment

  • Action and result oriented, attentive to deadlines

  • Detail-oriented, a quick learner, and self-motivated

  • Exhibit a strong ‘can-do’, ‘will-do’ attitude and strong sense of urgency in meeting deadlines
