Produce month end-end and year-end financial reporting numbers & all tasks there in:
Perform all Period End reporting related activities, from closing of the period to the sign off in the consolidation system.
Maintain Accruals and Pre-payments
Perform first checks in consolidation system to ensure the correctness of reported numbers
Providing all information required for disclosure reporting.
Preparation of Bank and Balance Sheet Reconciliations
Preparation of Year-end Statutory Accounts and or coordinating with external tax accountants and auditors in completion of the same.
Management of the Ledgers to ensure match between General and Sub Ledgers
Process transactional activities and queries and own the performance of these
Process queries, issues and open items in a timely and service-minded manner
Operate in line with agreed controls, policies, and procedures
Identify opportunities for process improvement and support the design and implementation of process improvements – if required
Build good working relationships with colleagues inside and outside the department
Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting
3+ years of experience in finance accounting or reporting
Solid understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
Full professional proficiency of written and oral English required
Experience in navigating, working and succeeding in complex stakeholder landscapes
Experience with MS Office, especially Excel, and ERP systems
Medium knowledge with process standardization and improvement
Good understanding of internal controls and risk management
Service Minded Approach to query handling
International mindset – preferably working previously in GBS set up
Work independently - able to work with limited supervision
Proactive with a strong drive and integrity
Act as a critical thinker

We are looking to hire a GL Specialist with an analytical mind and fantastic organizational skills. GL Specialists are expected to be detail oriented, have strong problem-solving skills, work comfortably under pressure, and deliver on tight deadlines. As a GL Specialist you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely accounting according to internal and external requirements by performing period-end activities in terms of close and reconciliation of accounts.
You will be part of the Finance and Accounting Function and a team that thrives by operating the best department, offering the best services and continuously focusing on process improvements. GL Specialist will report to Senior Delivery Manager and will have a dotted line to the Lead Accountants.
