About the project
Why is this job for You
You will report to the Finance Analytics Manger to increase efficiencies and promote
analytics and automation in Finance. You will work in the development and deployment
of analytical solutions, data extraction tools, visualizations, dashboards, and machine learning models, as well as the promotion of analytics throughout the enterprise. Additionally, You will work in collaboration with the onshore and offshore teams to design and develop process automation and work through all phases of the automation development life cycle, including testing.
You will work with other technical, architecture and business stakeholders. You will utilize
ETL, RPA, Visualization, Analytical, and Machine Learning technology, to support business
strategies and improve business processes by delivering solutions that meet or exceed
enterprise quality and security requirements.
Your responsibilities
- Participating in hands-on development and deployment of analytical data models, databases and specialized actionable reports
- Analyzing and communicating insights gained from data and then transforming those insights into actionable solutions are integral to this role
- Working collaboratively with process experts across global processes, SMEs and business stakeholders during analysis, model development & test and deployment phases to deliver quality analytical solutions
- Taking responsibility for project activities including work estimation, planning, stakeholder management and project quality
- Supporting and maintaining deployed model
- Assisting in the promotion of analytics excellence at IP. This involves the organization and coordination special events and training for the benefit of International Paper employees
- Providing training to various teams in data analysis process and technology
Our requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or Finance/Accounting
- 1-2 years of experience in developing in some of the following programming languages: R / Python / MATLAB / Minitab / Java / C++ / Data Lakes and in delivering analytics projects
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, Access, SQL, Visio / Flow Charting skills
- Advanced knowledge in developing analytics with Power BI/Tableau
- User level skills in SAP/BW
- Demonstrate business and technical acumen for analytics
- Demonstrate skills in developing functional and technical requirements documentation
- Strong problem solving skills
- Strong background in statistical principles and data modeling
- Exceptional communication skills
- Understanding of machine-learning models and techniques such as: k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, etc.
Optional
- 3-5+ years’ experience in data extraction, data analysis, and data visualization
- Project Management Certification
- Familiarity with IP ME methodology with Yellow belt certification
- Lean process knowledge
- Experience with RPA software – Blue Prism / UI Path / Power Automate / Scripting – VBA, ETL
- Experience developing in some of the following programming languages: Deep Learning Models (Keras, Tensorflow, PyTorch, AWS, etc.); Machine Learning Models (Regression, Time Series, Clustering, Categorization); C, C# and/or Java; .Net
- Technical experience in Alteryx/Theobald Extract Universal
