Recruitment for
Our Client is a German manufacturing company with offices & plants located in over 20 countries (including Opole with over 200 people employed).
Your responsibilities
Defining the strategy for electrical / electromechanical commodity considering the requirements of the local entities, the opportunities of the worldwide supplier market and the annual targets given (with the support of local Purchasing Managers and local Commodity Buyers)
Responsibility for entities located in the USA, Brazil, South Africa, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Qatar, China
Developing a competitive & worldwide Supplier panel considering a Total Cost of Ownership approach
Sourcing & qualifying new suppliers in coordination with the local Procurement organizations and propose to the Employer an Approved Vendor List for his commodity
Improving Company's cash situation by negotiating extended and favorable payment terms with suppliers
Negotiating Frame Agreements, Price Lists, including delivery and payment terms, quality requirements, warranty bonds,
Managing the supplier forecast & backlog for the commodity in collaboration with the local Commodity Buyers
Elaborating the strategy, drive the joint negotiations and approve supplier final selection with the local Commodity Buyers for the specific projects.
Supporting the local Procurement organizations during project execution, in case of difficulties with the suppliers for the commodity by leading the technical and commercial discussions
Driving cost reduction, standardization action plans across functions like engineering, manufacturing, and with the innovation support from the suppliers
Building strong value-adding relationship with suppliers, and with local entities (local procurement, MD, CFO, .. )
Proposing all initiatives to improve the operational process and guidelines between Global and Local procurement within the organization
Employer requirements
Min. 5 years of international experience gained in the range of electrical / electromechanical commodity management
Higher education
Fluent English (written & spoken)
In-depth knowledge of technical commodities, Contract Management & Legal Awareness within international supply chain. A first experience in Claim management with International suppliers supported by Legal procedures is required
Being a highly motivated, dynamic, team oriented & results - driven individual
Strong leadership skills (incl. motivating people), independent thinking, strong organizational and planning
Strong capacity to organize frequent trips all over the word, visiting suppliers and Local Entities.
