Your responsibilities

  • Responsible for creating, planning and implementing the marketing and sales mission, vision and strategy for the defined area globally, as well as budget and efficiency targets.

  • Defines key marketing and sales targets for the Factory (e.g. volume, prices, portfolio mix) and establishes appropriate metrics and measurement tools to monitor performance.

  • Responsible for achieving assigned order intake, margin and related objectives for the entire product portfolio globally. Drives evaluation of potential new and existing markets and their needs and ensures proactive sales approach with a focus on solutions. Actively cooperates with GPG and Global Railway Segment Team to set and execute sales targets for Local Sales Units.

  • Oversees market, competitive analysis and market segment definition activities. Ensures the market is well monitored by developing, maintaining and effective usage of efficient marketing and sales tools.

  • Develops relationships with key stake holders. Responsible for planning and implementing customer surveys, analyzing and acting on the results in order to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Oversees the global teams that identify, monitor and maintain/exceed the sales market price levels, evaluating with Product Management pricing impact on the results. Supports local Sales organizations to ensure achievement of sales volume and product mix targets.

  • Is responsible for implementation of bid/no bid process. Support related analyses and decisions. Participates in project risk review processes.

  • Derives systems for monitoring clients’ financial status, anticipates and reports changes in typical risk factors to relevant internal partner teams globally.

  • Develops, implements and reviews sales processes and related tools, and all relevant training and development plans, actions and programs.

  • Is responsible for the compliance of his team's activities in accordance with the processes defined in ABB and establishing proper control mechanisms.

  • Ensures (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Ensures the team is well prepared and has the necessary internal support to pursue and manage large project contracts. Leads or participates in the negotiation of legal, commercial and technical contracts. Proactively overseas and drives key projects sales development in cooperation with its subordinate Area Sales Management, Tendering and Application Sales teams.

  • Provides on demand reports related to the area of responsibility. Is responsible for regular SalesForce update of his or her subordinate team.

  • Is responsible for establishing and maintaining efficient tendering team, area sales management team and application sales team and its operations and processess.

  • Ensure the development of a proper network throughout the internal organization with focus on Project Management and Engineering, GPG, DC Rail Segment, local sales units, service and strategic suppliers to enable a long-run structured and sustainable business growth. Ensures cross-collaboration and continuously develops own and team members’ technical, commercial, design and behavioral competences and know-how.

Our requirements

  • Minimum of 10+ years work experience in managing teams.

  • Excellent communications skills, fluent in English language.

  • A Master’s degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration is preferred.

  • Experience with digital marketing platforms (Salesforce).

  • Experience with cross divisional and international teams collaboration.

  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills.

  • Knowledge of electrical product business (DC Rail equipment know-how is an advantage).

  • Open-minded personality.

  • Willingness to travel, working out of homeoffice or company office (hybrid).
