    Global Financial Analyst

    Local Unit & Position Description

    The team of Global Financial Analysts, located in Gdynia, delivers high quality controlling services for DNV GL’s Global Shared Service Centers covering 10 regions worldwide (including Europe, Americas, Middle East, Africa and Asia).

    We are seeking a Global Financial Analyst for the Global Shared Services Centre based in Gdynia, Poland. The Global Financial Analyst reports to the GSS Global Controller and is a member of a team of Global Financial Analysts. 

    To succeed in this role, you are a team player with the ability to create an atmosphere of motivation and enthusiasm to be part of building up the Global Centre. You will play a key role in implementation and maintenance of the Oracle system for Finance operations.

     

    Key tasks:

    • Preparation of monthly management & KPI reports which facilitate global GSS performance management
    • Analysis and controls of financial data
    • Support of planning and forecasting processes
    • Support and conduct tasks related to the monthly closing processes
    • Close cooperation with Global GSS Controlling and regional Management/Controlling
    • Master data maintenance (e.g. structures in finance systems/reorg tool)
    • Support implementation and effective use of IT tools and processes (e.g. further improvement of BI tools)
    • Support of improvement initiatives
    • Support ERP/Oracle implementations and drive system improvements.

    Position Qualifications

    • Strong university degree, e.g. in controlling/finance, business administration, IT, management
    • Minimum 1 year experience as Financial Analyst / Data Analyst in a multinational company
    • Excellent analytical skills
    • Very good MS Office skills (especially Excel)
    • Experience with ERP systems (preferably Oracle) and Business Intelligence tools
    • Project and time management skills as well as strong organizational skills
    • Strong team player, capable and confident to challenge the status quo and drive for continual improvement
    • Fluent in English
    • Ability to evaluate problems in order to recommend pragmatic and effective solutions.
