Global Manager for Managed Services Delivery

You will play a key role in leading and strengthening our Global IS team, supporting the Global Application Development and Maintenance (ADM) team in its transition from Time and Material and Capacity base services to End to End Managed Services. Reporting to the Global Department Manager for External Managed Services you will be responsible, as part of team, put in place End to End Managed Services for ERP and NON ERP applications and then seeing to establishing proper vendor performance governance while supporting global application teams needs with respect to External managed Services .

Your responsibilities

  • Building and delivering specific IS Managed Services solutions and using your experience putting in place External Application Managed Services delivery in a Change Management approach with and for your stakeholders (ADM Leadership, Application Managers, Service Managers as well the External Managed Service Department)
  • Reviews Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and corresponding service monitoring & controlling metrics to identify rightsizing and performance improvement opportunities
  • Reviews the status and quality of the services delivered by External Managed Service Department in ADM. This to include OLAs, SLA and KPIs with all relevant parties (internal and external)
  • Accountable for execution of Request for Quote, Proposal and Information (RFx) within ADM organization including all supporting processes, procedures, work instructions, training and tools leading to proper definition, delivery of tenders from IS Strategic vendors. Also including, but not limited to and taking influence on, vendor evaluation and selection as well as proper documentation for audit reviews and tracking
  • Effective interfaces between global IS teams for all tendering process activities and, where required, ensures demands adherence in line to agreed time, budget and quality specifications; all within the department’s practice competence. This to include other ADM Departments and Center of Excellences as well as SCM and IS Vendor Management
  • Supports the deployment and usage of Software Asset Management tools, within ADM, that enable software scanning functions for different types of devices to collect software data that can be validated on compliancy
  • Be a key/lead contributor in the current initiative / program to transition IS ADM to End to End Managed Services including Transition to fewer vendors / providers and Transformation of application operations delivery of Services that are flexible, Cloud focus and able to meet the ABB Business needs and requirements

Your background

  • 3-5 years of experience in Managed Services Delivery including implementation of Managed Services
  • Sound knowledge of IS vendor engagement and this at a Senior level (5-10 years) dealing with GLOBAL IS vendors in the Application Operations, Support and Projects
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in IS Vendor engagement, contract review, negotiations and solutioning contracts after RFx
  • Application Operational experience in a 3rd party Managed Service Delivery model would be an asset
  • Ability to work in cross-functional, virtual and international teams and manage multiple demands on time and with provided resources
  • A collaborative, solutions- and customer-service-oriented approach and strong communication skills
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
