Our Salary & Compensation Specialist is responsible to manage the global salary and compensation requirements for Global Mobility across the ABB Group. This requires working with complex remuneration and compensation matters as well as being able to benchmark against external references for international salary and benefits.

Your responsibilities

  • Prepare Salary Calculations for all new assignments and calculate updated packages for extensions.
  • Liaison with local compensation and benefits specialists as well as country HR for relevant data and cross-reference check on information for salary calculations as needed.
  • Prepare cost estimates for new assignments (LTA and STA) and provide this information to other members of the Global Mobility team.
  • Manage salary review requirements for global assignee population, working with KAMs, HRBPs and Comp & Ben to align with global process.
  • Monitor FX rate fluctuations and make any necessary salary adjustments as per group guidelines and provide advice and guidance to wider team on FX rate movement.
  • Benchmark assignment allowances and benefits against market.
  • Provide advice to mobility team on restrictions to delivery of pay, when applicable, related to currency restrictions, market volatility exchange control restrictions etc.

Your background 

  • A Minimum of 2 years of HR experience preferably with experience in managing global mobility matters.
  • Strong understanding of remuneration and compensation matters with strong numeric and analytic skills.
  • Good IT skills and the ability to manipulate data to report on trends and common themes.
  • Excellent communication skills and a confident manner with good organizational, planning and decision making skills.
  • Delivery focus and ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English; additional languages preferable.
