    Job Description:

    We are looking for the Connectivity Services Service Assurance Engineer that will be responsible for day to day technical guidance of the Global Network. In this role you will provide technical expertise across the network environment specifically across operational based activities, tasks, incidents and problem management. You shall lead and guide our primary service providers through their service delivery lifecycle and obligations. In addition, you will be providing technology leadership in respect to Continuous Service Improvement, finding opportunities, inspiring change and standard methodology across the environment.

     

    You should be able to demonstrate the ability to operate autonomously while exercising good judgment in the assessment of technology priorities and business risks:

    • You will provide technical expertise across the network function, across all business partners and service providers
    • You will act as a key contact point for business partners, other IT groups and projects
    • You will be defining, researching, document analyzing and recommending to all interested parties including management as well as discussing technical details with engineers
    • You will work closely with other CS groups to promote activities of connectivity services team and ensure visibility of projects, issues and changes impacting end users
    • You will cooperate with BT to handle and communicate issues for incidents related to the service. And where required manage major incidents
    • You will improve cross-team collaboration and knowledge development along with technical partner teams such as engineering, deployment, operations, etc
    • You will collaborate with product management, engineering and vendor management teams to onboard new products and represent operations as required to ensure acceptance into service is successfully delivered
    • You will ensure that BT adheres to compliance regulations, change & incident management, & problem management policies
    • You will handle all operational related internal client communication and concerns as well as actively leading issues to resolution
    • You will estimate and provide CS Network Governance team approval for BAU operational changes and incidents
    • You will provide oversight of the "Proactive&Preventive" BT Team "Book of Work"

    Qualifications:

    • You have prior hands-on experience as a Network Systems Engineer or architect
    • You are a CCNP qualified Network professional with significant experience in a 3rd line infrastructure role along with an exceptional analytical, conceptual, problem-solving and problem management abilities
    • You hold a demonstrable track record of supporting and fixing core network enterprise infrastructure and devices around Cisco technologies as well as having experience in working with MPLS wide area networks
    • You possess good written and verbal communication skills coupled with good interpersonal and consultative skills
    • You show commitment to quality and operational service delivery
    • You have the ability to engage with different cultures and people at several levels in an organization
