Your responsibilities

  • Develop proactive thought leadership, media and stakeholder engagement campaigns to support business objectives and Schneider Electric reputation across transversal themes;

  • Build out the platform for ExComs via thought leadership campaigns not limited to speaking engagements and interview opportunities and work directly with executives to manage those opportunities;

  • Develop activities which leverage and create platforms for Schneider Electric Company Story;

  • Devise, localize and sign off on messaging for executive presentations and interviews;

  • Build, cultivate and own strategic relationships with journalists and broadcasters that SE needs, in order to communicate its Company Story and manage its risks;

  • Manage external communications in crisis situations and around challenging issues, counselling senior management on most effective course of action;

  • Directly brief and influence media on challenging and sensitive issues, lead on reputation management and act as a media spokesperson for Schneider Electric in a crisis;

  • Curate, edit and proofread materials including press releases, pitch letters, fact sheets, backgrounders, and correspondences, etc.;

  • Develop and use effective measurement and metric tools to gain insights and drive strategy, ensuring that External Communications activity is delivering value for Schneider Electric;

  • Research, compile, analyze and flag Schneider Electric’s and its peers' media coverage and industry reports;

  • Follow key trends by keeping abreast of the industry, competition and coverage.

Our requirements

  • ~10 years of communications experience - external, internal, in house or agency, journalism or elsewhere...the more meaningful experience the better;

  • Proven record of effectiveness in developing, implementing, managing and measuring strategic integrated communications plans - successful candidate should be able to demonstrate successful outcomes from communications activities where they have conceptualized, developed and executed a communications plan;

  • Experience in communication, corporate branding, public affairs, stakeholder engagement in a multinational company. Hands on media relations responsibility;

  • Communication expert: capacity to write and articulate develop content and craft messaging;

  • Superior presentation / advisory skills - clear, concise thinking and sufficient gravitas to deliver meaningful advice to senior leaders on communications strategy in a timely fashion;

  • Strong project management skills - have to be able to organize work in a methodical and rigorous manner but equally comfortable in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment;

  • Passion for storytelling, learning and a commitment to quality and excellence;

  • Experience in working within environments going through significant change and creating high quality and engaging communication strategy;

  • Significant experience in issues and crisis management;

  • Possessing key contacts in media, government, associations.
