Your responsibilities

  • Responsible for TIP AR Process Design (in place to drive standard ways of working across the various business units to drive efficiencies.)

  • Responsible for liaising with the business to determine best and most appropriate design. Understanding key business challenges and creating and driving acceptance of process improvement solutions.

  • Meet regularly with key business stakeholders to identify any enhancement requests and then document the requirements for these.

  • Work with the technology deployment leads and the technology and services provider to deliver the enhancements to the global design, the GPO acts as an intermediary between the end user community and the implementation and delivery teams of the technology partner. These enhancements could be organisation, process, data or technology changes.

  • Implement improvement plans for AR including working with intelligent automation (RPA-UiPath). Quantify the value of those improvements and drive them against agreed targets through to conclusion.

  • Lead the TIP AR Continuous Improvement in conjunction with the technology partner, reviewing all potential enhancements to the process and reviewing needs of the business. The candidate should be recognised as a thought leader and expert in this space and therefore widely consulted and consulting with associated process areas.

  • Responsible for measuring and driving benefits from a cost perspective and ensuring that the Global Design solution is deriving tangible benefits to the business.

  • Responsible for End-to-End performance metrics for the AR process integrating SLAs and KPIs across the technology and service providers.

  • Responsible for agreeing appropriate solutions with the business for gaps and performance challenges identified in operations. Good interpersonal skills to create and maintain relations with stakeholders throughout all levels of the business.

  • Closely support and monitor the Business and the BPO in their delivery of AR processes.

  • Owner of the AR control environment to secure levels of process compliance across the TIP business.

  • Advocate and act as an ambassador for the solutions with the business and also to the outside world in terms of thought leadership in the AR space.

Our requirements

  • Experienced AR manager, 5-10 years, with strong working experience gained within an international corporation

  • Accounting or Finance degree

  • Certified Six Sigma or certified Project Manager is preferred

  • Experience of working with an ERP rollout programme as an SME or design lead for AR Invoice to Cash.

  • Detailed knowledge of AR best practices and the provision of AR services within an extended delivery model with a technology and service provider.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders.

  • The ability to deliver process and efficiency improvements within an organisation or to external clients with delivery of at least one complete project.

  • Strong influencing and change management capabilities and good interpersonal skills.

  • Good team player.

  • Experience with ERP tool(s) like MS-Dynamics is preferable but not essential.

Job description

TIP is currently in the middle of a digital transformation program to streamline TIP finance operations across the entire business. A key role in this new structure is the GPO Accounts Receivable. This role is responsible for defining and maintaining the overall global design as the new technology solution is implemented in each country and for owning the end-to-end process design. The new AR solution sits across two delivery areas: The TIP business units and the technology provider. Experience of working in this type of multi-level environment would be an advantage as would previous experience of working within a global ERP roll-out environment.

Role Overview & Purpose

The Accounts Receivable (AR) global process owner will own all aspects of the global AR design for TIP as from coordinating invoicing the TIP customers up to and including the receipt of the payments from our customers and the process for credit risk assessment. The AR GPO will work with the business to understand their requirements and will draw on best practices to continually review and improve the AR process. It is important that the GPO is recognised as an internal expert in the AR field. The GPO needs to have strong influencing skills to ensure that solutions are accepted and adopted by the wider business.

The GPO will take a critical view of the current processes and designs and prioritise where enhancements and development time should be spent. The feasibility of new requirements will be measured against cost effectiveness, robustness and scalability and documented accordingly. The role holder will work through cost benefits and acceptance criteria. The GPO will be accountable for creating a schedule of improvement initiatives in close cooperation with the technology partner, quantifying the contribution those initiatives will make and is accountable for delivery against those initiatives.

The GPO will report to the Strategic Finance Director and will work closely with other GPOs both inside and outside the Finance operations to ensure that process design is consistent across all processes which touch AR. The GPO should also work closely with the wider business and understanding business challenges and deriving process improvements to address those issues. This is a global role and the preferred candidate should have demonstrated experience of working in a multinational environment. Knowledge of and previous experience with ERP implementations would be a benefit. The candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and be capable of influencing and working with senior stakeholders as well as their peer group.

The role will be based in TIP Warsaw office with some travel to other TIP locations and globally dependent on business need.
