Your responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a global category strategy to achieve best value for JM while improving supply chain resilience and efficiency.

  • Develop strategic sourcing processes, drive clear definition articulation of business requirements for JM to be recognised as an intelligent customer.

  • Shape the supplier base to provide capability and agility to support JM transformation and growth.

  • Drive best practices in supplier management and contract management.

  • Champion and secure TCO reductions for the category across sectors and regions

  • Oversee development/ execution of strategies with Sector Supply Chain and Procurement teams. Support Sector execution and issue resolution.

  • Develop market intelligence, insights and expertise in the global procurement spend categories. Anticipate market trends to deliver competitive advantage.

  • Own the key supplier relationships, set cadence of joint review forums to drive continuous improvement as well as facilitate strategic dialogue to capture business synergies.

  • Understands JM Group and Sectors business strategies and how it impacts JM Procurement.

  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels and up to JM General Management Committee to understand and align Procurements objectives with the business’ needs, to align on a course of action and to remove barriers.

  • Specifically, understand the strategy and approach for all category relevant functions in order to best support their customer, procurement and supply management needs. Be a co-pilot in shaping the decisions of the relevant spend.

  • Participates in and implements procurement transformation throughout JM, by working with stakeholders and responding to any issues or suggestions relating to their Category.

  • Acts as global category advisor within JM and externally as appropriate.

  • Communicates the value of the Procurement function to the business

  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels and up to JM General Management Committee to understand and align Procurements objectives with the business’ needs, to align on a course of action and to remove barriers.

  • Specifically, understand the strategy and approach for all category relevant functions in order to best support their customer, procurement and supply management needs. Be a co-pilot in shaping the decisions of the relevant spend.

  • Participates in and implements procurement transformation throughout JM, by working with stakeholders and responding to any issues or suggestions relating to their Category.

  • Acts in accordance with and advocates the ‘Procurement Key Operating Principles’.

  • Ensure 100% alignment and delivery of both the Sectors and Global Procurement targets for Logistics.

  • Delivers high quality strategic solutions to meet the needs of the organisation, delivering value and having significant coverage and commercial influence over Logistics 3rd party expenditure.

  • Effectively communicates the Business’s and Procurement’s strategic direction and cascades into objectives and action plans for direct reports and sector procurement counterparts.

  • Leads team building, collaboration and demonstrates the required JM leadership attributes.

  • Manages performance and talent management activities with direct reports and ensures consistency by checking performance data with the leadership team.

  • Contributing to defining the procurement risks that will be tracked by all JM Group Companies and JM Procurement Team; contributing to the determination of group-wide risk management standards and monitoring the status of the actions taken

  • Reviewing the inputs coming from Sector procurement teams in terms of investment and budget for the related category, providing feedback to the Sector consolidating investment and budget of Sector/Regions under the category (global annual spend

Our requirements

  • Proven experience of relevant and successful strategic category management within a global environment to establish credibility with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Extensive demonstrable experience in successfully leading and conducting the negotiation of contracts across technical, commercial and legal areas.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to champion the vision of the organisation.

  • Market knowledge related to Logistics landscape especially for Europe.

  • Ability to work under pressure and priorities workload.

  • Ability to facilitate multiple activities at any one time, and effectively communicate current positions.

  • Ability to balance total cost of ownership (TCO), strategic and tactical delivery.

  • University Bachelor Degree or equivalent, (and/or) proven experience in Automotive, FMCG and/or Chemical procurement of at least 10 years

  • Excellent functional Procurement experience managing Global Categories across multiple geographies.

  • Experience working across international borders, and good professional command of English language.

  • Ability to operate effectively in different cultures and across geographies, including managing stakeholders and colleagues remotely (across distance and time zones).

  • Strong analytical and qualitative skills.

  • Strong project and change management capabilities.

  • Experience of leading, motivating and developing people through large change program.
