GPAS Global Derivatives Specialist
Location: Poznań
Global Portfolio Account Services (GPAS) model is designed to provide accurate and timely services to enable our accounts to trade in any security, in any country, with any counterparty. Our team is comprised of cross-functional operational professionals. The GPAS team provides client coverage 5 days a week, and has presence in America, Europe and Asia.
 
We are currently looking for a candidate for a GPAS Specialist position in Derivatives Agreements Team who will focus on supporting launches of our mutual funds and institutional clients trading in derivative instruments as well as on coordinating negotiations of derivatives agreements (e.g. ISDA, Futures & Options, Central Clearing). This position requires strong analytical and organizational skills as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced, long-term deadline-oriented environment. An important part of the work involves effective relationship building and management, both internally and externally. The tasks associated with the role involve cooperation with global teams and companies, leading cross-departmental projects, data analysis and reporting, as well as developing subject matter expertise in derivatives from a documentation perspective.

Working with us, you will be responsible for:

  • Cooperating with global brokerage companies, custody banks and external counsels to coordinate negotiations of derivative agreements (e.g. ISDA, Futures & Options, Central Clearing);
  • Liaising with internal teams and departments across the globe (Legal, Portfolio Management/Trading, New Business Services, Global Trade Services, Middle Office, Investment Compliance, Product Management) to put in place the above-mentioned agreements in order to facilitate launches of mutual funds and institutional accounts;
  • Representing Derivatives Agreements Team during mutual funds and institutional accounts onboarding meetings;
  • Researching and recommending the business terms and conditions of derivative agreements;
  • Serving as key subject matter expert (SME) on derivative agreements and driving the related derivative documentation process;
  • Analyzing changing and emerging external regulatory requirements and making recommendations on how best to proceed;
  • Leading multi-site, cross-departmental projects related to new complex products, instruments or changing regulations;
  • Supporting and participating in various teams’ miscellaneous initiatives to meet organizational goals;
  • Managing contract information data in systems.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, management, international business or law;
  • Have five to seven years professional experience in the area of financial services, with two to three years of derivative exposure;
  • Have experience in client service, project management or product development;
  • Possess strong interpersonal and client/customer skills – contact with internal and external clients and partners on a daily basis;
  • Possess strong analytical and organizational skills (can prioritize individual tasks among team goals);
  • Can work independently and search for solutions, in a fast paced environment driven by strict long-term deadlines;
  • Can work on team projects and achieve team goals;
  • Are paying strong attention to detail and quality;
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Are flexible to work with parties in various time zones (may occasionally include early or late meetings).
