Development, launch and maintenance of UHNW Solutions and Alternatives & Capital Markets product for GPB working closely with Global Heads of UHNW (Ultra High Net Worth) Solutions, Alternatives & Capital Markets Product, Global Functions and Local offices to ensure appropriate product approvals achieved through the applicable Global and/or Local Governance Committees
Ownership and management of elements of Business projects covering GPBs UHNW Solutions and Alts & Capital Markets product, acting as Business SME
Assisting with the design and implementation of new Target Operating and Business Operating Models to support the GPB UHNW Solutions and Alts & Capital Markets Product Business
Managing 3rd Party Service providers engaged in the provision of UHNW Solutions and Alts & Capital Markets product services to GPB (where required).
Assisting with the oversight activities required for all outsource arrangements, (covering 3rd Party Service providers who support GPB UHNW Solutions and Alts & Capital Markets product), including the collation and timely production of KPI, KRI and metric data for submission to relevant committees
Working with Global Heads of UHNW Solutions, Alternatives & Capital Markets Product and Local IPG COO teams (local Investment and Products Group Chief Operating Office teams) to ensure outsource arrangements, procedures, processes and product reviews supporting GPBs (Global Private Bank) UHNW (Ultra High Net Worth) Solutions and Alternatives & Capital Markets product are comprehensive and appropriately managed
Continual streamlining, refinement, improvement, development and implementation of processes associated to the GPB UHNW Solutions and Alts & Capital Markets product offering
Ensuring the correct implementation of new and revised Global HSBC policies which contain requirements pertaining to GPBs UHNW Solutions and Alts & Capital Markets product proposition
Working closely with GPB Global Functions to ensure that the GPB UHNW Solutions and Alts & Capital Markets product offering remains compliant with Global HSBC policies and Local Regulatory requirements
Identifying, managing and then owning the resolution of Operational Risks associated to GPBs UHNW Solutions and Alternatives & Capital Markets product including the design, implementation and operation of new Controls, updating and maintaining the related processes and procedure manuals, where appropriate
Sharing Operational Risk issues identified in Local Booking Centres with other Booking Centres to provide a read-across of issues to identify common occurrences and prevent repetition of the same issues.
Owning, managing and resolving relevant issues raised via reviews conducted by Audit, Regulatory Compliance, Sales Quality, FCC etc.
Assisting with the effective delivery of the GPB UHNW Solutions and Alternatives & Capital Markets product governance and oversight framework including the timely collation and production of associated governance packs/papers, KPIs, status reports and business performance metrics.
Collating, analysing and timely production of relevant performance data and Investment Risk data in management dashboard format, co-ordinating collection of data from all GPB offices
Attending relevant GPB governance Committees including the Global and Local Product Committees, IPG ExCo, IPG Business Control Committee, as required
Strong understanding of product management (lifecycle); outsource management and risk & control oversight
Strong understanding of investment products and services within a Private Banking environment, particularly in relation to Capital Markets Products and Alternative Investments
Proven experience in an environment that demands organisational agility and getting results through effective management of processes; possess capacity to define problems, analyse causes, assess options and find effective solutions; ability to relate to people at all levels both internally and externally
Strong understanding of Front to Back processes
Experience of defining and writing process and procedures
Practical experience working within a global product/business management role with a good understanding of regulatory and risk frameworks
Highly organised with exemplary attention to detail
Self-motivated, driven and delivery focused, with a good understanding of project management disciplines and techniques
Highly adaptable with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and independently
Effective presentation, interpersonal, negotiation, communication and analytical skills
Recognised strong organisational skills
Strong IT skills (Excel, PPT, Word)
Understanding of GPB Strategy and the HSBC Group
Certificate in Investment Management and/or other recognised professional banking/investment qualifications beneficial

The purpose of the role is the global development, approval and management of products and services covering UHNW Solutions, Capital Markets Product (FX, Structured Products, equities, bonds, cash products and derivatives) and to a lesser extent Alternative Investments. Product Management in this regard encompasses, but is not limited to, tasks such as Product Development; Product Approval; Product Launch; Product Review; Strategic Business Projects; Risk Management and Control; Operating Model and process design; Vendor Governance; and management of relevant Internal Product Governance Committees.
