DAC6/MDR reporting for the Global Private Bank (“GPB”) entities in Luxembourg, Channel Islands and UK, including identification/reporting of cross-border reportable arrangements.
Oversight DAC6/MDR processes, tools and governance.
Coordination and oversight of GPB’s client tax reporting obligations (CRS, FATCA, QI), including coordination of the periodic Responsible Officer certifications.
Risk management for the relevant client tax reporting controls.
Ensure timely implementation of legislative/regulatory developments and guidance as issued by local tax authorities.
Oversight of quality and standards of reporting performed by the GPB Operations team.
Ensure completeness and accuracy of data extracts and onward reporting, including account populations.
Maintain up-to-date information and accuracy within the tax authorities’ reporting portals.
Investigation of reporting errors and oversight of remediation activities, including analysis, summation and timely escalation to the relevant stakeholders and governance fora
Develop strong advisory relationship with Tax teams.
Represent Private Bank at relevant working groups and committees.
Develop communication with key stakeholders on key topics, progress, issues and escalations.
Partner with, and appropriately challenge, Risk Steward functions and Internal / External Audit to obtain a holistic view
Drive the design and implementation of consistent and high quality client tax reporting frameworks, controls and processes.
Build strong relationships with global and local teams in multiple locations and develop a robust operating model.
Operate in a hybrid environment/matrix whilst managing a multitude of stakeholders from different teams/functions.
Keep oversight of and adherence to key policies and procedures impacting client tax reporting
Professional Tax qualification(s).
Minimum 5 years working experience in tax advisory/reporting or wealth planning roles within financial services.
In-depth operational knowledge of tax reporting regimes such as DAC6/MDR, FATCA, CRS and QI good knowledge of tax rules for individuals, corporations and financial products.
Demonstration of effective stakeholder management, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Proven ability to interrogate and articulate complex and varied tax reporting issues concisely, defining or recommending relevant objectives/issues and driving them to conclusion.
Demonstrable ability to work with global teams in a hybrid environment and aptitude to deliver against demanding regulatory deadlines.
Proficiency in written and spoken English and preferably also French.

The purpose of this role will be to manage the client tax reporting processes relating to DAC6/MDR obligations across the Global Private Banking (GPB) booking centres in the EU, including accurate and timely reporting. In addition, the role also includes the oversight of the client tax reporting (CRS, FATCA, QI) for GPB entities.
The role holder will facilitate between the business (1st Line of Defence) and the functional Tax teams (2nd Line of Defence) to ensure that client tax reporting requirements and obligations are clearly understood and executed upon in a timely manner, including the distillation of policies and procedures.
