Assist and support the embedding of the nascent IWS COO team and book of work.
Play key role in the IWS COO team to oversee, co-ordinate and deliver strategy implementation, project management, change, risk and control, regulations and governance in IWS.
Standardise often misaligned processes across GPB&W Booking Centres and markets to achieve global consistency across IWS and GPB&W.
Respond promptly and diligently to issues as they arise, some urgent.
Break down silos and help to drive greater collaboration across regional business management teams.
Interact with senior management confidently on a variety of topics.
Diligent prioritise of workload while maintaining a high quality of delivery in often challenging circumstances.
Analyse of complex problems (both global & local); generate insight, and feasible / creative recommendations, through engagement with key stakeholders, considering all aspects and consequences.
Act as a conduit across initiatives, with an understanding of the GPB&W strategy, strengths, weaknesses and the external marketplace, to inform business decisions and create competitive advantage.
Document findings: to support engagement with our delivery partners; and provide clear problems, options and recommendations; to enable Snr Mgt understanding and decision making.
Take ownership of Proposition delivery lead roles in major projects and change initiatives, in line with IWS objectives, and/or act as delegate to Delivery Leads colleagues within the Proposition & Strategy team, on the major change initiatives of IWS.
Support the co-ordination of efforts across the team, helping prioritise tasks to those with most meaningful impact.
Work in partnership with IWS functions such as Product Development & Governance, Global Products, Advisory, Managed Solutions, IWS Global Head Business Manager, Chief Control Office, Transformation, Finance, etc. as appropriate with regard to delivering growth, strategic and operational initiatives.
Collaborate with other GPB&W Booking Centres and markets in delivering growth initiatives as relevant to make sure there is global consistency and synergy.
Design and own the Pricing Growth plan and execute in partnership with internal and external stakeholders across Global and Local.
Own engagement and management of consultants brought in to support pricing initiatives.
Measure and monitor the impact of the pricing initiatives to track progress and inform future effort.
Work with Regulatory Compliance to ensure initiatives meet regulatory requirements Private Bank & Wealth products and services are distributed to clients in compliance with laws and regulations.
Input into governance fora on strategic and operational initiatives, including writing and presenting papers and providing both written and verbal updates.
University bachelor’s degree or higher
Proven track record as an outstanding analyst or consultant
Overall financial services industry knowledge with specific functional expertise, of the Private Banking and/or Wealth Management industry, the client needs, competitive environment and market trends
Proposition development and implementation experience highly desirable
Proven experience in an environment that demands organisational agility and getting results through effective management of processes; possess capacity to define problems, analyse causes, assess options and find effective solutions; ability to relate to people at all levels both internally and externally:
Extensive experience of using multiple analysis techniques in a change environment, with a mix of business, Operations and technology focused projects
Excellent communication, inter-personal and negotiating skills
Excellent decision making and problem solving ability
Advanced judgmental skills to identify and resolve problems
Proven ability to work across regions whilst maintaining a global perspective
Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and sponsors
Sell motivated, driven and delivery focused, with a good understanding of project management disciplines and techniques
Very strong administrative, management and presentational skills
Highly organised with very exemplary attention to detail
Highly adaptable with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and independently
Knowledge of GPB Strategy and the Group beneficial
Strong IT skills (Excel, PPT, Word)
Certificate in Investment Management and/or other recognised professional banking/investment qualifications beneficial

The Proposition & Strategy team, within the Investments and Wealth Solutions COO, plays a critical role in supporting the Head of IWS, and the Head of IWS COO, in shaping and delivering the strategic aims of the function.
- The team focuses on the design of a coherent IWS proposition across all IWS business lines, aligned to the GPB&W strategy; and will execute on the design through direct engagement in the Bank’s major growth and change initiatives.
- The team is also responsible for embedding the IWS proposition, partnering with Marketing, Communications and Learning & Development, for the benefit of our colleagues and clients.
- Aa a Senior Manager within the team the candidate will be fundamental in supporting all aspects of the team's scope – informing the development of products, services and capabilities in GPB&W, and ensuring they align to our value proposition and strategy – driving improved client experience and commercial outcomes.
