For our Grid Compliance Testing team, we are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Grid Compliance Testing Engineer. The Grid Compliance department is part of the Offshore Technology unit located in Denmark with colleagues working in Germany, France and India. The Team consists of test engineers as well as grid connection engineers.
How to contribute to our vision
The team is responsible for the assessments and interpretation of relevant grid codes and grid connection standards. Further aspects of the grid code work are defining requirement specifications for wind turbine development projects and to work on tools and processes to breakdown grid code requirements. A major part of the team’s work is the execution of all relevant electrical grid compliance measurements for wind turbines (including component level- and sub-system level tests) developed by Siemens Gamesa. The team is also responsible for grid compliance test strategies and the support of developing next generation of test facilities both internally or externally.
Quality and deliver as promised are key performance elements in the daily work to ensure best in class grid compliance capabilities of the wind turbines for our customers.

As a Grid Compliance Testing Engineer you will be involved in various tasks, which could include:
- Being responsible for planning, specification and execution of measurements on wind turbines, subsystems and components and activities derived from this
- Analyzing, evaluating and reporting of respective test results
- Defining test plans for new wind turbine, sub-system and component measurement campaigns based on grid code knowledge
- Coordination, evaluation and assessment of relevant grid code requirements and grid connection standards
- Be responsible for support of grid connection aspects as grid codes, wind turbine capabilities, feature and parameters
- Ensuring the right quality of deliveries (assessment- or simulation reports) and deliver as promised to our internal and external projects and costumers
- Specifying new features and functions of wind turbines and wind power plants needed to fulfill grid codes in relevant markets

A candidate with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar combined with some experience in the area of grid compliance of wind turbines and wind power plants or other electrical equipment. You have knowledge in the following areas: power systems analysis, wind turbines / wind power plants and grid connection requirements. Preferably, you have experience with improvement of processes or alternatively with simulation tools (e.g. Matlab Simulink, DIgSILENT Power Factory or others). As a person, you are result oriented, structured and a dedicated team player, who is able to work in an international and multi-cultural environment and can handle interfaces with numerous internal and external stakeholders. Lastly, you possess good communication skills in general and excellent English skills both orally and in writing.
