Your responsibilities

  • Drive the transformation from local driven teams towards group team

  • Ensure that appropriate budgets are secured and managed to deliver effective and efficient services

  • Build a creative and talented team that continuously develops to meet the developing needs of the business

  • Manage competing priorities between local and group

  • Ensure that all products and services within the Network & Data Communications team comply with and support the cyber security policies of the group

  • Ensures the support for both, projects, and operation

  • Plan the future resource requirements taking into account projects and programmes of work

  • Defining and rolling out a global network solution

  • Fosters a business-oriented culture and mindset driven by continual service improvement techniques

  • Builds and maintains relationships with other Technology Heads and Directors to develop a clear understanding of business needs; ensures cost-effective solutions are in place to meet those needs and is able to respond with agility to changing business priorities

  • Leverages influencing and negotiation skills across Technology and the enterprise to enable cost-effective and innovative shared solutions in achievement of business goals

  • Participates in the assessment of solutions required to achieve desired business goals

  • Provides leadership, coaching and direction to your team

Our requirements

  • Significant prior experience leading multidisciplinary and multinational teams of professionals including demonstrable experience in exceeding performance and continual improvement metrics business wide

  • Demonstrable experience leading on high value, highly complex projects, ensuring successful delivery within time, cost and quality parameters

  • Good understanding of Agile working methods and the desire to develop the team in this direction

  • Experience of operating in a highly federated and matrix managed organisation, where credibility and influence are more important than direct line management

  • Effective influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources may not be in direct control of this role

  • Excellent analytical, conceptual thinking, planning and execution skills

  • Strong technology acumen, including cross-domain knowledge and preferably earlier career experience in a technical role

  • Experience in budget planning and financial management

  • Good understanding of current network technologies and trends

  • Good presentation skill especially towards the GTB and Exec Board

  • Very good English language skills, German and/or Polish language skills are beneficial
