Your responsibilities

  • To ensure that the GTRF Ops provides uninterrupted, consistent service to our internal and external stakeholders by managing operational risk, business continuity, quality and SLAs by working closely with various stakeholders including European Country Heads of Trade and Receivable Finance, Regional teams: Legal, Compliance, Product Management and GTRF & CMB/GB&M sales staff & relationship managers;

  • To contribute towards the formulation and ongoing improvements of the Trade, Guarantees and Receivable Finance strategy globally;

  • Manage and deliver agreed standards / requirements around cost, performance, right shoring, sourcing, processing, recruitment, training and development, technology, business continuity, management control, audit and regulatory compliance;

  • To understand, embed, implement and improve the Target Operational Model for Wholesale Ops, review requests for local variations from the agreed Operational Model, identify and mitigate TOM gaps;

  • To drive end-to-end standardization and optimization of the operational processes where accountability extends beyond the Operations managed perimeter, by orchestrating activity across the various stakeholders;

  • To lead identification and deployment of automation initiative opportunities thru Light Automation and Blue Prism and ensure replication of solution across all the GTRF teams;

  • To drive cost reduction and financial performance targets robustly and ensure the requirements of the business partners and Operations are met.

Our requirements

  • Fluent in English;

  • 10+ years’ experience in Operations Management including strong operational control capabilities and a proven track record in leadership and service delivery;

  • Exceptional Client focus and orientation;

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to handle conflict and manage expectations;

  • Demonstrate high energy; be pro-active and goal driven;

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

  • Ability to communicate effectively with local and global teams;

  • Excellent planning, organizing and commercial skills including strong financial management capability;

  • Highly effective in working with all levels of management and staff and in a matrix environment;

  • Time management skills and ability to prioritize are critical;

  • Must be able to analyse, summarize and communicate complicated problems and provide action recommendations to any level of Client and Bank escalation chain;

  • Strong problem solving skills;

  • Strong relationship management and program / change / project management skills;

  • Proven people management skills;

  • Understanding of Production Management metrics and tools;

  • Knowledge of Trade and/or Guarantees and/or Receivable Finance will be advantageous.
