Requirements:

  • Bachelor, Master or PhD degree in Engineering
  • Several years of professional experience in an international company, preferably in the automotive or electronics industry
  • Cross-functional engineering experience, able to cover EE, ME, and validation topics, while interfacing with Systems, SW, or other competency groups
  • Over 5 years of team lead or technical experience
  • Strong focus on interpersonal skills – willingness to develop
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to solve problems using structured approaches including six sigma
  • Fluency in English

Hardware Quality Lead is a senior technical role within Hardware Quality, reporting to Manager, Design Quality & Methodologies Manager. The focus of this role is to bring industry best practices on quality systems for hardware engineering and help incorporate them into APTIV hardware development practices. The role would also work to leverage rich experience of APTIV in continuous improvement of software quality and best practices from software which may be adopted in hardware quality and SPICE compliant processes.

Your role:

  • Support Hardware Organization to implement Quality processes in hardware including quality audits and continuous improvement.
  • Work with software quality organization to understand, borrow and implement best practices in the areas of audits, compliance and metrics
  • Support migration of hardware processes to become SPICE compliant and leverage expertise in specific domains such as Mechanical or Electrical Engineering to drive domain focused improvements in APTIV processes to improve quality of hardware
  • Lead development of SPICE based hardware compliant process training and roll out within hardware organization
  • Work with Hardware Quality audit teams to improve quality audit processes and compliance to closure of Non-Conformances
  • Lead and support ASPICE hardware audits conducted externally or internally for engineering programs
