Your responsibilities

  • Ensuring the 4PL Control Tower employees works in accordance to the agreed instructions, guidelines and standards

  • Controlling the achievement of agreed performance level, as well as Logistic Management Services costs

  • Developing and driving strategies to reduce costs and to increase efficiency

  • Organization of department structure, leading and motivating the team members and supporting their professional development

  • Taking an active role in the meetings with Business Management, Customers and 3PLs (Third Party Logistic Provider), and others

  • Supporting the definition and implementation of processes for new customers or services

  • Acting as a catalyst for the change management process

  • Supporting training of new employees, apprentices and trainees and external partners, if required

  • Ensuring quality compliance as per internal and external regulations and agreements, supporting internal and external audits

Our requirements

  • Educational background in Logistics/Transportation with a very good understanding of the forwarding business, solid experience in all transportation modes would be an advantage

  • At least 5 years' experience in managing multidisciplinary teams with an ability to motivate and lead people (also under pressure)

  • Excellent communication skills (including fluent English) and high focus on the customer

  • Proven experience in the topics of Continuous Improvement, implementations, costs or operations optimization is strongly preferred

  • Very good time management an organizational skills, ability to delegate

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, being accountable and target-oriented

  • Knowledge of and adherence to quality standards (such as QSHE or GXP)

  • Readiness to travel

Your role

Your daily work will involve managing improvement projects driven by our customers and identifying internal and external cost saving opportunities in order to ensure competitiveness of KN. In close cooperation with Business Management, you will enforce identification and development of new processes in order to expand KN's relationship with the customer. The position combines customer facing activities as well as internal network management.
