Recruitment for

On behalf of a global operation with a very strong presence in Poland, we are looking for experienced and business-oriented candidates to fill the position of Head of Accounting and Tax Department.

Your responsibilities

  • Managing a nearly 50-strong department responsible for accounting, reporting and tax areas

  • Developing and updating the accounting policy in accordance with reporting standards, tax law and the firm's strategy

  • Responsibility for financial statements, consolidations, tax returns, etc.

  • Preparation of financial reports for the top management, banks and external organizations

  • Participation in financial and tax planning in cooperation with relevant departments and the top management

  • Cooperation with auditors and other external institutions

  • Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer and Management Board 

Employer requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in a similar position with full managerial responsibility for a large accounting team, preferably in a large, international organization, and in close cooperation with the top management

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance and accounting or statutory audit qualification

  • Excellent, practical knowledge of Polish and international accounting and financial reporting standards

  • Knowledge of SAP, MS Excel and financial reporting tools

  • Good command of English

  • Highly developed people management, interpersonal and communication skills

  • Focus on developing and motivating teams, knowledge transfer and efficient task delegation

  • Analytical thinking ability and constantly searching for effective business solutions also under time pressure, while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
