Recruitment for
For our Client, a global leader supporting change management, manager development and coaching / mentoring, we are looking for candidates for the position of Head of Accounting & Tax (Chief Accountant).
You will play a key role in our move to a centralised finance function, aligning processes between the three existing markets. This position is reporting directly to the Regional Finance Director responsible for region Europe+.
Your responsibilities
Line management of a team of 5 (3 of whom sits in Poland, 1 in Holand and 1 in Belgium)
Full accountability of the General Ledger accounting activities
Understanding of the financial reporting and General Ledger structure
Manage month-end processes to ensure accurate and timely month end, quarter end and year end close
Timely submission of financial information for Group reporting and consolidation, including the submission of consolidated financials, monthly tax file and cash flow forecast
Manage financial risk and discuss with the CFO on a regular basis to ensure adequate provisions are recorded
Being a part of the preparation of the quarterly management representation letter and legal risk review with adequate analysis and support mitigating actions
Review the annual statutory financial statements and reconciliation to USGAAP and review the account master mapping from USGAAP to local GAAP
Internal & external audit processes
Review tax-related information as required by the Group or local legislation, including income tax filing, tax provision reconciliation, monthly and quarterly VAT and CIT reconciliation
Employer requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience at a similar level – Chief Accoutnant pref in international environment
Education or qualification in accounting, finance, CIMA/ACCA/CIA or other certifications as a plus
Excellent knowledge of up-to-date Polish accounting and tax standards is essential (additionally experience in US GAAP will be plus)
Advanced Excel skills (previews and pivot tables)
Fluent English - minimum C1
