About the project
Retail originations credit underwriting & credit account management– processing over a billion customer credit decisions annually, across 30+ markets for all Lending products
External Fraud Control for WPB and WSB covering Transaction Faud, Application Fraud and other Fraud domains impacting over 30 markets, 10Bn in transactions and ¬0.5Bn in Fraud Loss management
Both domains are undergoing an architecture transformation program envisaging over 100Mn in technology investments that will deliver a data driven decisioning eco system based in the Cloud.
The Delivery Model is built around a dedicated Fraud Value Stream and a CCS Sub Value stream under Lending.
Entity leadership of the CCS and Fraud IT organisation in Poland – responsible for building out the technology organisation supporting all the sub value streams in CCS and Fraud.
Take functional accountability for end to end Fraud deliverables in near shore model for UK and Europe and dual hats to head a functional delivery domain in CCS and Fraud as assigned from time to time
Member of the CCS and Fraud IT MANCO acting as the primary delivery partner in Poland to the sub value streams
Provide leadership, management and technical vision to entire engineering team.
Stimulate hiring, career plans, training as well as performance reviews for software engineering team
Effectively manage third party relationships ensuring appropriate control, governance of capacity outsourced to vendors
Provide technical and career mentoring for the engineering organization and work with them to plan and track development of all initiatives through delivery to production
Cultivate a culture of testing and automation throughout the engineering organization
Collaborate with the product engineering management (Design, Product, QA a nd IT) team to improve visibility, processes, and communication mechanisms
Accountable for maintaining mandatory / regulatory compliance of the IT Services managed by the team
Accountable for managing the End to End cost base, will balance HSBC priorities, ensuring compliance, Customer satisfaction also ensuring Data standards and Data controls
Implementation of IT strategy to support core business objectives and gain business value.
Accountable for identifying and resolving any alignment issues across the matrix organisation.
Evolution of the DevOps model, ensuring continued improvement of the technology lifecycle and alignment with stakeholder plans
Adhere to compliance with external regulatory requirements, internal control standards and group compliance policy
Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points
Exposure to technology delivery in a Retail banking environment, with good understanding of customer lifecycle across core products
10+ years of Industry experience, managing delivery teams
Demonstrated leadership ability in a multi functional environment
Good understand and network within the Polish personnel and third party market place
Full stack software development experience and capability
Experience or comfort working with native API platforms
Experience with Cloud platform especially GCP, modern data technologies relational database systems and ability to work with large databases
Understanding and knowledge of scaling and proven track record of scaling systems
Experience profiling and optimizing code on all tiers of an application
Experience with systems that leverage near real¬time data to drive personalized experiences
Experience working with consumer facing digital products
Experience with systems which have sophisticated access control/configuration capabilities
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly understand complex systems and data
Experience balancing managing direct reports and making contributions to the software
Experience providing project visibility to senior management
