your tasks
  • Start by building a team and transitioning the Global Mobility processes and services from local to global delivery in DNV GL's Global Center
  • Be responsible for the effective execution of DNV GL's Global Mobility Programme, in line with local law and DNV GL's policies, values, culture and objectives
  • Manage and coordinate all assignment related activities from pre-assignment to repatriation
  • Oversee the provision of support to assignees and guidance to internal stakeholders ensuring critical factors are considered when relocating employees
  • Proactively manage, review, track and monitor compensation & benefits, tax, social security and pension arrangements for international assignees to ensure compliance with DNV GL's policies and applicable legal requirements
  • Ensure assignment related financials (cost, expenses, benefits contributions...) are booked and allocated to the respective cost centres correctly and in time, in collaboration with Comp & Ben and Finance functions
  • Act as a point of escalation for deviations, complaints, complex cases and proactively communicate with senior management of DNV GL
  • Review and manage assignment documentation and cost projections in line with feedback and evolving business requirements
  • Manage and support our third-party vendors (RMC's, Tax) ensuring they are providing high-quality and efficient support
  • Manage and maintain comprehensive Global Mobility databases capturing all relevant information, ensuring data integrity between the various internal/external HR systems
  • Build, coach and develop the team of Global Mobility Service Managers
  • Provide guidance, direction and prioritization to the team, creating an atmosphere of motivation and passion
  • Provide guidance and advice to Business Areas, Group and other internal stakeholders as a subject matter expert on the application of DNV GL's Global Mobility strategy, policies and programmes
  • Develop and implement process improvements
  • Stay updated on trends and market situation within the field of Global Mobility, including, best practice, compliance with applicable regulations and development of technology
  • Support the team operationally if needed
what we expect
  • To be passionate about Global Mobility/Relocation topics
  • Master’s degree in related fields. Human Resources related academic credentials preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership/management experience preferred with excellent people management skills, including coaching and mentoring; prior experience in a shared services environment helpful
  • Demonstrable experience with Global Mobility/Relocation services
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex issues involving multiple stakeholders
  • Customer service orientation with ability to serve multiple customers concurrently, and a high “getting things done” attitude
  • Highly sophisticated communication style to be able to discuss sensitive topics like compensation with Regional business leaders, some of whom may be located remotely
  • Demonstrable experience in building and maintaining professional partnerships with internal and external stakeholders (ability to interface with all levels of the organization)
  • Demonstrable experience in a multi-cultural, international organization involving substantial change and change management highly preferred
  • Ability to develop and implement new ideas or ways of working and adapt to change - An eye for innovation trends and digital solutions
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Good knowledge of the HR system landscape
