Your responsibilities

  • Work closely with those responsible for high risk customer relationships to develop and maintain a clear, in depth, picture of current exposure and risks and support in ML/TF risk assessment.

  • Secure appropriate internal control framework is in place, including KYC as well as other aspects such as quality assurance, client visits, etc.

  • Provide specific knowledge and expertise around the high risk customer segments and drive ongoing development and continual improvement, as well as knowledge and skill development in those performing KYC activities for these customers.

  • Secure expert risk knowledge and input to the decision making process in regards to high risk customer relationships

  • Strive to secure a risk-based approach to higher risk customer relationships, as well as taking the customer perspective to secure an excellent customer experience.

Our requirements

  • Relevant University Degree and/or 3-5 years of relevant banking experience including AML/KYC related processes and particularly ML/TF risks and risk assessment.

  • Experience of correspondent banking relationships, particularly from an AML perspective.

  • Fluent spoken and written English is essential as this is an international role requiring communication across multiple countries and units.

  • Proficiency in MS Office package.

  • Knowledge and understanding of ML/TF regulations, risks and risk indicators.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Analytical mindset and ability to work with details but also keep the big picture and strategic situation in focus.

  • Ability to work independently and pro-actively, as well as be part of a successful high-performing team.

  • Continuous personal development and learning, as well as ability to document and share knowledge.

About the job

SEB strives to secure full regulatory compliance whilst also building efficient processes which provide an excellent customer service experience. We aim to have a risk-based approach to AML, with stronger focus and controls in areas with greater risks.

This role will involve working with the customers of with the highest potential Money Laundering/Terrorist Financing risks, particularly the Correspondent Banking and PSP customer segments. Working as part of a dedicated team focused on AML questions, you will be tasked with securing a good understanding of the specific AML risks for these types of customers, and ensuring that an appropriate control framework and risk management/mitigation is in place. This will include liaising with the KYC Process Owner to support development of best practice KYC activities and risk-based approach, as well as working to build additional controls and monitoring above and beyond cyclical customer due diligence. In this position you will also be working to develop knowledge and awareness of AML risks across the business.
