About the Role
In this role you will report into the HR Director, Polatis & NEU, and work closely with the SVP of Operations and the HR Manager UK & US (all based in the UK) to lead the HR agenda at our Polish manufacturing site. You’ll be responsible for driving the people side of our ambitious expansion plan, managing the recruitment, retention and development of staff and working in close partnership with the Operations Director and line managers in order to provide a first class HR service. You’ll adapt and create local HR policies in line with HUBER+SUHNER processes and become the expert on all HUBER+SUHNER HR systems, training and assisting managers where necessary to ensure systems are used to their full potential.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring that the company operates within the parameters of the Polish Labour Code and all related labour laws, and to keep up to date with any changes that might impact the Company. You will also collaborate with the wider HUBER+SUHNER HR team to support key business initiatives and strategies.
You will have a degree or post-graduate qualification in HR Management or a related field (or be ‘qualified by experience’) along with at least five years’ experience of working in a senior HR generalist role in a manufacturing or engineering environment. You will have excellent knowledge of Polish Labour Law, be fluent in Polish and English and have strong business acumen and organisational awareness. With excellent interpersonal skills, you will have a flexible and adaptable approach and be able to interact effectively at all levels of the business. This will be a busy and demanding role so resilience and the ability to work under pressure is vital. In addition, some experience of managing compensation and benefits is a must, as is experience of managing small to medium HR projects.
