Your responsibilities

  • Provide Alcon associates and managers, across countries & languages, with an available first point of contact for questions and guidance on fundamental HR topics and issues; escalates concerns beyond their scope to more appropriate resource while maintaining follow up until closure of the request.

  • Good understanding and basic knowledge of multiple labour legislation systems

  • Expected to work independently with minimum guidelines and supervision

  • Ensuring that team documentation is kept up-to-date

  • Support the preparation and implementation of People policies, procedures, handbooks, guidelines

  • Actively committed to continuous improvement

  • Day-to-day ticket resolution as a part of HR systems support serving globally.

  • Processing HR lifecycle changes regarding employment verifications, personnel file administration, new hire processes, employee data changes, onboarding, colleague referrals

  • Proactively takes ownership of requests received through the case management tool, online chat, phone and other HR System inputs; being responsible for case opening and closing (end to end) with professionalism and respect.

  • Troubleshoot issues and coordinate issue resolution with operations teams, ensure escalation if applicable

  • Supporting the process of training users on HR systems, policies and processes

  • Engage in building a HR knowledge base for the team to use covering various HR processes and local legislation

  • Accountable for performing internal process controls

  • Maintain confidentiality of employee data

Our requirements

  • General HR Experience

  • Preferred: 3+ years of experience supporting HR Systems & Processes

  • Minimum Requirement: 2+ years of experience supporting HR Systems & Processes

  • HR Systems

  • Preferred: 2+ years in HR Systems (at least 1 year in Workday)

  • Required: 1+ years in HR Systems (at least 6 months in Workday)

  • Legal/Local Labor Law

  • Preferred: 3+ years supporting countries in Center regional area including in depth knowledge of local labor law and regulatory statutes

  • Required: 1+ years supporting countries in Center regional area including in depth knowledge of local labor law and regulatory statutes

  • Case Management

  • Preferred: 1+ years in ServiceNow or other case management system

  • Required: 6+ months in ServiceNow or other case management system

  • Shared Services or Payroll

  • Preferred: 2+ years working in an HR Shared Services environment

  • Required: 1+ years working in an HR Shared Services environment

  • People Management

  • Continuous Improvement

  • Preferred: 1+ years actively using Six Sigma or other CI methodologies

  • Required: 6+ months actively using Six Sigma or other CI methodologies

  • Other Required:

  • Intermediate experience using MS office suite (special focus on word, powerpoint & excel)

  • Required Language: fluent Spanish and english

Alcon Polska

The HR Help Center Life Event Specialist will act as an HR guide for Alcon associates. This role will have the opportunity to assist associates with all HR employee life cycle events including clarification of Alcon policies and procedures, HR administration, payroll inquiries, system navigational support and more. Accountable for executing high quality and accurate service to associates in adherence with the Day-to-Day calls & transactional activities, HR Service Center service levels (SLAs) as well as key process, and operational metrics (KPIs). In addition to supporting the day-to-day life cycle events of the Alcon associates; this role also supports quality audits, documentation and will take an active role in supporting the migration of the HR processes to the newly created HR Service Center.
