Your responsibilities

  • (Process Improvement) Evaluate and support the implementation of operational improvement projects within HUB units, focusing on continuous improvement of manufacturing related processes, keeping customer needs at focal point of each analysis and choice.

  • (Process Improvement) Benchmark internal and external production processes to overview and support productivity improvements within HUB units, encouraging employee engagement to gather information and implement changes.

  • (Process Improvement) Review manufacturing processes within the factories (sequence of operations), support with layout, equipment and organization, in order to ensure efficient production processes both for direct and indirect activities.

  • (Process Improvement) Work closely with Safety and Quality experts to enable changes that will improve both aspects within the HUB.

  • (Process Improvement) Be a speaking partner with Global Product Group (GPG) to align and update the Manufacturing platform.

  • (Process Improvement) Coach and support factory Process and Industrial Engineers, Production stakeholders to reach local operational targets, define ideas for improvement projects, support timely and on budget projects implementation,

  • (Footprint) Be able to assess footprint proposals and have an ability to run footprint projects within the HUB.

  • (Capex) Support HUB Operations Management and progressively become responsible for managing overall Capex process. Review the main Capex proposals and ensure that Capex is spent as per plan and within the budget in areas that generate optimal payback or eliminates / reduces business continuity risks. Ensure proper link between Capex investment and related Cost Out projects.

  • (Capex) Lead periodical Capex reviews with the factories, granting proper data quality in Capex data base and other reporting tools.

  • (Capex) Manage Capex investment approval process for standard and CIMT Investments, supporting factories in Business Case preparation, submission for approval.

  • (Capex) Prepare reports and presentations regarding Capex process for HUB or global management.

  • (Capex) Support units in ensuring proper equipment supplier selection collaborating with Equipment / Supply Chain / GPG / HSE experts in order to grant delivery of safe, high-quality and reliable products with competitive lead times and optimal price. Ensure activity based risk assessment (ABRA) is completed prior to the installation of new equipment and similar when changes are made to existing or while introducing new process.

Our requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Process or Management Engineering.

  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing (Green Belt/lean certification is desirable).

  • Pro-active mindset to self-initiate improvement actions in your role.

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills to address and build trust with people on different organizational levels.

  • Fluency in English is required both written and spoken.

  • Experience / knowledge in finance (as plus).

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing environment (transformer manufacturing experience as plus).

As an operations Development Specialist for European HUB, you will support HUB Operations team in the analysis and implementation of operational improvements throughout all HUB units, dealing with process improvements, Capex investments and various improvement projects.

We are looking for a professional who has a holistic view starting from the analysis of present operational performance, can act throughout the improvement cycle of defining improvement projects / activities, targets, setting improvement actions (including Capex investments needs), supporting tracking of actual obtained results.

You will work closely with HUB Operations Team (Continuous Improvement, Safety and Quality leaders, other functions within HUB) and factory teams. You will take an active role in the budgeting and decision-making process to advise, support and review the implementation of improvement initiatives and Capex Investments.
