    BUSINESS UNIT AND ROLE OVERVIEW

    The Human Capital Management (HCM) Division manages the talent of the firm and is committed to attracting, motivating and developing the best workforce in the world. The Division comprises a number of teams which support the firm either through divisional or functional alignment.

     

    HCM is made up of several departments such as Employee Relations which acts as the internal consulting group to all levels of employees and management; Talent Development who help drive the firm’s commitment to attracting and retaining the best and most diverse talent at all levels; Pine Street and Goldman Sachs University which are committed to helping develop our people; Recruiting; Reward; Talent Assessment Group which manages the planning, development and talent management processes; Strategy and Management which provides HCM related services and counsel for HCM.

     

    This is a role providing dedicated assistant coverage and full administrative support to the Warsaw HCM function and focusing on the projects and day to day business of the Talent Advisors in situ. This is a demanding role which requires extensive support from a competent, highly proactive, motivated and organised individual.

     

    The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in handling competing and complex priorities. Essential skills include strong communication, co-ordination and analytical skills, teamwork, a collaborative nature and the ability to handle matters with discretion.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for providing day-to-day administrative support in local HR processes, e.g. processing sick leaves, issuing medical referrals, certificates of employment  
    • First point of contact for GS employees in regards HCM related queries
    • Support in HR processes, in particular maintaining employee personal files, local onboarding of new joiners and transfers
    • Thorough and timely HCM reporting of working hours, vacation, sick leaves and ad hoc requests
    • Documentation retention and archiving, issuing employee documentation
    • Local point of contact for payroll provider
    • Pro-active, professional contact and co-ordination with internal clients, business personnel and peer counterparts
    • Ad-hoc projects, such as events, internal trainings

    SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

    • University graduate or equivalent
    • Strong time management skills, prioritise and multi-task
    • Excellent attention to detail, conscientiousness and accuracy in carrying out duties
    • Polish labour law knowledge would be an asset
    • Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and trustworthiness
    • Professional, with strong organisational and interpersonal skills; an effective and open communicator
    • Excellent teamwork skills
    • Systems knowledge: extensive knowledge of MS Office, including Excel (advanced level) and Powerpoint
    • Fluency in Polish and English
