We are looking for Software Developer Enthusiasts who are highly  interested in all topics around SAP, databases (especially Db2), cloud  deployments and infrastructures for business critical SAP Db2 systems  and who are interested in gaining SQL Insights in particular.

Engineers in our team work in an international team, staffed by IBM  and SAP experts and are responsible for all aspects around SAP Db2 –  ranging from designing and implementing new product features, optimizing  our SAP Db2 solution, elaborating, testing and documenting best  practices.

We support our SAP Db2 customers and pave the way for their journey  to the cloud, covering topics like backup/recovery, high availability,  and migrations.

We collaborate closely with teams from SAP in the  Walldorf (Germany) area as well as with IBM Teams and other partners  worldwide.

You should be thrilled by emerging technologies, such as cloud technologies and latest database technologies.

Requirements:

  • Positive attitudes and willingness to solve complex problems and embrace change, despite difficulties.
  • Excellent communication skills both written & verbal.
  • Strong knowledge of an object-oriented programming language, preferably C++, Java, Python.
  • Database Technology.
  • Knowledge about Software Development and Agile Methodology.
  • Ability to work on various OS platforms like Linux (RHEL, SLES), AIX and Windows Server.
  • Ability to initiate self-learning of new skills in the areas of the  databases, operating systems, programming languages and shell scripts.
  • Strong Communication Skills.
  • English: Fluent.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • SAP technology skills.
  • Ability to work in an international team.
  • Database architecture and technology in general, specifically Db2 LUW.
  • Ability to work with current Office tools like Microsoft Office.
  • German: Fluent.
