Four our Client one of the largest global medical technology companies in the world and is advancing the
world of health by improving medical discovery, diagnostics and the delivery of care, we are looking for
ambitious candidates for the position of Independent Accountant.

Client Details

Reporting to the Finance Manager CEE, you will be part of a diverse team and will work closely with
the Finance Operations COE Belgium, WSSC Poland and BP&A teams. This is an excellent
opportunity for an experienced finance/accounting professional who will be responsible for some of
CEE legal entities.

Description

• Supporting the preparation of financial statements in accordance with Local GAAP and US GAAP
• Close cooperation and reporting to external and internal auditors,
• Preparation of returns and settlement of tax liabilities, including income tax, withholding tax, and VAT
• Supporting Finance Manager with tax related matters (VAT, CIT, Transfer Pricing, WHT)
• Active participation in the month-end and the year-end close processes.
• Identifying issues and process improvements
• Coordination of contacts with any control institutions, the Tax Office, the Central Statistical Office (GUS), the National Bank of Poland (NBP)
• Monitoring changes in legal regulations and implementing them in the company's accounting
• Supporting the Team with your knowledge and expertise
• Ensuring compliance with all external and internal requirements
• Being responsible for settlements and reporting for CEE legal entities

Profile

• A recognized accounting or tax qualification and deep understanding of US GAAP and local
  GAAP Compliance Requirements
• Audit or tax advisory experience would be advantageous
  
• Experience or interest of working on tax topics
• Proven ability to work across a Matrix Organization
• Experience in ERP implementations would be a plus
  
• Shown ability to run projects, as well as proven experience working with external auditors, tax
  advisors and legal advisors
• Fluent in Polish and English
  
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong networks
