Your responsibilities
- Conduct and implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) feedback into our design.
- Plan, organize, direct and conduct industrialization related activities within the development team, supply chain team and production team.
- Collaborate with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing to determine the ideal performance specifications and supplier metrics.
- Accountable for leading, tracking and improving manufacturing process development, launch readiness for new products and design changes, and driving continuous improvement activities utilizing Lean Manufacturing and First Principals methods.
- Validate supplier corrective actions involving design and/or process changes to ensure they are robust, sustainable, and implemented for similar potential concerns across manufacturing lines and/or suppliers.
- Provide input on new or alternative materials for improved design, manufacturability or cost reduction.
- Participate in DFM Review, guide Design in efficient use of poka-yokes, best methods of manufacturing, testing, and gauging, and correct tools or assembly equipment to use.
- Develop Launch plan including key production milestones (line/prototype trials).
- Translate manufacturing engineering roadmap and needs into work packages.
Our requirements
- M.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent degree
- Extensive experience as project manager or industrialization engineer in a fast moving and high demanding environment
- Fluency in English
- Track record in driving complex product projects in brownfield or greenfield expansion, either in planning and designing phase, and/or execution phase
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Highly execution-oriented
- Proactive and goes beyond expectations
- Has a “can-do” attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit
- Ability to work under high pressure and tight deadlines, excellent time management skills
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently

NORTHVOLT was founded in Sweden in 2016 with the mission of building the greenest lithium-ion batteries in the world, with the lowest carbon footprint and the highest recyclability, to ensure the European transition to renewable energy. The NORTHVOLT team of experts is currently building a new generation lithium-ion cell factory in northern Sweden, focusing on process innovation, scale and vertical integration of processes.
