Your responsibilities

  • Surveillance and analysis of the Bank's and clients' trading activities on the leading exchanges globally (e.g. LSE, Euronext, NYSE, HKE) across multiple asset classes.

  • Review and supervise activity behind Restricted and Watch Lists of the Firm.

  • Analysis of potential violations and abusive trading activities.

  • Communication with traders and compliance officers to resolve potential breaches of information barriers policies.

  • Close co-operation with compliance officers in London, New York, Hong Kong.

  • Identification of risks and contribution to the ongoing development of the processes and surveillance scenarios.

  • Manage multiple deadline oriented tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Our requirements

  • University degree in economics - specialization in finance or banking is an asset.

  • 2-4 years of proven relevant experience, ideally in the financial services industry.

  • Excellent understanding of the complexity of financial products and services.

  • Outstanding communication skills. Proficiency in written and spoken English.

  • Sound analytical skills and attention to details. Proven ability to manage work well under pressure.

  • Motivation to perform in a control function.

  • Pro-active in suggesting solutions to problems, documenting them and presenting to senior management.

  • Proven Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook).

  • Outstanding interpersonal skill-set with the ability and confidence to discuss issues at a senior level.

An outstanding opportunity to join us as an Information Barrier Trade Surveillance Specialist within the Global Information Barrier Team and support the Team’s mission of serving as a robust, independent second line of defense within Chief Compliance Office of Credit Suisse. The IBS specialist will be responsible for end-to-end surveillance process – from identification of potentially suspicious trade up to discussion with senior management and decision process of whether given activity could be considered a breach. The team has been established as an independent surveillance unit, which set standards of surveillance across all regions, financial instruments and types of activities.
