Your responsibilities

  • Ensure the careful handling and movement of components throughout process to ensure no damage occurs during production.

  • Accurately record and maintain the serialisation of customer components throughout production

  • Maintain and reinforce internal quality standards to meet and exceed customer expectations

  • The processing of components as instructed, or as per drawing requirement, using various operational techniques

  • Ensure all work is undertaken to specification and to the required standard through continual inspection monitoring.

  • Responsible for the safe operation and basic maintenance of equipment, as per Company maintenance tracker, ensuring any issues are escalated to the Team Leader.

  • Ensure quantities of orders received are checked throughout the production process

  • Keep production areas clean and organised at all times

  • Use Company DNA software and ensure scanning operations are followed as per the routing

  • Ensure all process and production documentation are completed accurately and submitted as required

  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Preparation Team Leader/Supervisor or as per the requirements of the business

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills – working with others to provide information they need to complete tasks and eliminate production delays

  • Ability to work as part of a team – working flexibly and collaboratively to solve problems and exceed departmental targets

  • Able to follow and work within operating processes - exercising sound judgement at all times; suggesting operating improvements to support team delivery

  • Sound literacy and numerical skills

  • Taking personal ownership and responsibility for being professional, punctual, consistent and reliable

  • Working knowledge within manufacturing/production environment (desired but not essential)

  • Ability to take direction, learn and apply knowledge in a changing operating environment

  • Commitment to growing specialist knowledge and learning in a science based, technical, production environment

  • Experience:

  • Previous experience in a production environment (desirable but not essential)

  • Experience in an operating environment (desirable)

  • Experience working with non-destructive testing techniques

  • Experience working with engineering/ visual / technical plans (desirable not essential)

  • Experience working in changing operational environment

  • Experience working with tools, equipment and materials in a focussed, close work environment (desirable – not essential)

  • Very good knowledge of English language, both spoken and written.

Job Summary

The main role of the NDT Technician will be to ensure efficient use of equipment and resources, to provide and maintain effective processing of customer components, without compromise to quality. This role will include process duties/techniques to meet production requirement under direct supervision. This role will involve interaction with internal operations, production and quality team.
