Your responsibilities
Responsibility for monitoring of the entire balance sheet accounting as well as collaboration in the preparation of the monthly financial statements
Preparation of IFRS reporting packages and participation in group reporting
Participation in and control of current bookings (general and sub-ledgers)
Account maintenance of general ledger, debtor and creditor accounts
Management of central financial accounting
Technical contact for all accounting issues in the sub-ledgers and general ledger
Participation in internal and external audits
Preparation of inputs for tax reporting (VAT Germany, VAT data to tax advisors, etc.)
Active participation in projects to further optimize our finance-related processes
Our requirements
A successful degree as a balance sheet accountant or comparable qualification
Knowledge of German statutory accounting (HGB and VAT) considered a plus
Several years of sound professional experience in financial / balance sheet accounting
Confident use of MS Office applications (Excel) and at least good knowledge of ERP systems
Knowledge of IFRS accounting is desirable
An independent and structured way of working characterized by commitment and reliability
Very good English skills [C1]
Very good German [B2/C1] is nice to have but not must requirement
Very good analytical skills and a high affinity for numbers
Independent and conscientious way of working
Readiness to travel: 50% of working time [Germany]
