Your responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and complex audit projects in the area of operations, finance and IT/IM independently; plan and execute the audit plan so that all audit objectives are completed accurately and on time.

  • Collect, examine, analyze, and verify information about the organization’s systems and processes by reviewing system data, manuals, policies, reports, etc., by analyzing actual SAP and other system configurations and functionalities and by interviewing organizational members where required.

  • Actively contribute to the development and maintenance of the data analytics and visualization capability (ACL, SAP Cloud Analytics, Google, Data Studio, Excel Analysis and new tools) and support the team in data extraction out of SAP and other systems.

  • Participate in assurance committee meetings and internal advisory mandates.

  • Develop recommendations for changes to processes and systems that will adequately manage risks, improve performance and productivity and ensure that the organization can achieve its business objectives.

  • Prepare audit reports that accurately document the audit process and its findings.

Our requirements

  • Bachelor / Master Degree, preferably in business administration, finance, mathematics or computer science.

  • 5+ years of experience on a similar position (in Audit, IT, Data Analytics, Data Governance, Internal Control Function (ICS), Compliance or Enterprise Risk Management).

  • SAP advanced user knowledge is a must, ACL or SQL scripting knowledge would be an advantage.

  • Proficient in MS Office / G-suite.

  • Sound knowledge of SQL databases and preferably advanced data analytics (RPA, machine learning concepts).

  • Experience in Python and/or other programming languages would be a strong advantage.

  • Preferably Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Information System Auditor (CISA).

  • Proficiency in English (oral and written), additional language would be an advantage.

  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills.

  • Ability to gain an understanding of complex, inter-disciplinary processes within a short time-frame.

  • Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 30-40% of time depending on the global situation).

About the role:

Internal Audit’s mission is to enhance and protect organizational value by providing risk-based and objective assurance, advice, and insight. We serve as the third line delivering independent, objective and reliable assurance.

With a flair for data analytics, you will apply rigorous, data-driven insights and methodologies in working with auditors and cross-functional stakeholders to identify, size and evaluate risk drivers across Barry Callebaut. You’ll advise the business on areas of risk and make valuable recommendations on controls. You’ll have the opportunity to influence change, drive forward auditing of the future all whilst building on the skills of tomorrow!

Passionate about emerging risks such as Cyber Security and Data Privacy as well as the fascinating world of operational audits at our manufacturing plants on 5 continents, the Internal Auditor at BC develops recommendations for changes to processes and systems that will minimize risk, improve performance and productivity and ensure that the organization complies with all relevant regulations, laws and standards. Internal Audit is viewed as a talent pool of career stepping stones within BC. Several of our regional CFO’s and a number of VP’s have worked in Barry Callebaut Internal Audit team.
