    Internal Controls - Risk and Compliance Specialist
    Place of work: Kraków
    The person in this position will be a second line of defense function responsible for the daily support of the Internal Controls, Risk and Compliance to the Head of Zurich Insurance Company Branch in Poland, with the special focus on Compliance area. 
     
    This is the unique position where you will have the opportunity to work in the multi-disciplinary, cross-functional environment, learn more about different departments of the company and have broad exposure to stakeholders on various seniority levels both onsite and in the Zurich headquarter.
     
    Responsibilities:
    • Daily support on the Operational Risk, Compliance and Internal Controls topics – acting as a trusted advisor and supporting all employees and stakeholders in the ICRC related topics
    • E2E Compliance process ownership, being responsible for the timely and quality execution of all of the Group Compliance and local requirements:Supporting audits coordination including gathering evidences, monitoring remediation actions and responding to queries from internal and external auditors 
      • Annual risk assessment and compliance plan preparation, 
      • Ongoing plan execution and monitoring, 
      • Reporting to the regional and group Compliance in line with requirements,
      • Conducting assurance monitoring to validate adherence to the control framework and policies implementation,
      • Raising awareness through targeted trainings and communication,
      • GDPR Compliance
    • Facilitation of the timely quarterly management control self – assessment process including Action Plans reporting and remediation monitoring for all internal controls and compliance frameworks
    • Ensuring internal controls, risk and compliance documentation is complete and up to date, to comply with internal and external requirements 
    • Producing reports, decks or presentations for internal stakeholders

    Candidate’s profile:

    • University degree in finance, risk or other relevant economic/business studies
    • Professional experience min 2 years in international company in the area of internal controls, risk, compliance or audit
    • Knowledge of compliance (including GDPR), SOX and operational risk is as an advantage
    • Excellent English skills is a must, both spoken and written (C1)
    Technical, professional and personal capabilities:
    • Ability to work independently, without procedures in the diverse process environment
    • Flawless professional written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills, including meetings leading and presenting
    • Relationship building skills including stakeholder management up to senior/executive teams
    • Knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel (basic formulas, pivot tables), MS Power Point and MS Visio
    • Analytical thinking and attention to detail 
    • Ability to produce quality materials (documents, presentations, analyses)
    • Proactive, open for changes and curious about continuous improvement
    • Capable of prioritizing multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines
