Your responsibilities
Subject matter expertise:
Expert-level understanding of the design and implementation aspects of emissions trading, cap-and-trade, carbon tax and voluntary carbon markets
Sound familiarity with UNFCCC regime and the associated negotiating process, as well as setting up domestic structures to implement Kyoto Protocol / Paris Agreement frameworks
Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:
Strong people leader, with the ability to develop capabilities in team members
Challenges established thinking, assumptions and approaches
Ability to resolve project challenges that are of varying complexity
Applies in-depth knowledge of the business, resources, leveraging relationships, communications and operational effectiveness to complex projects and initiatives

Manages multiple priorities simultaneously
Works with cross-functional teams to achieve desired objectives
Our requirements
10+ years experience in international climate policy, including advising on the carbon pricing design on the national or international level
Advanced academic degree (MA, Ph.D.) preferred
English language on native or close to native level, other languages a plus

This is a unique opportunity to join our Sustainability Regulatory practice and work on developing climate policies on the national and international level across the globe.
This role will involve strategic shaping and execution of EY’s global approach for advisory on the emerging national and international climate change regimes, both on the voluntary and compliance front. Responsibilities will include providing strategic guidance on putting together go-to-market strategies, engaging with key leaders and stakeholders to develop new service offerings, creating distinctive thought leadership and initiating opportunities and pursuits with clients which will include developing complex client proposals and deliverables.
This position requires distinctive, innovative and motivated climate change leadership with profound technical expertise in emissions trading to help shape and execute our offering in carbon pricing design, focused on public sector clients. It will enable you to work with leading organizations at a senior level and interact with EY colleagues globally and across service lines.
