Inventory Manager

We are looking for an Inventory Manager to work with a multi-disciplinary project team to execute the scope of projects working within a 24x7 warehouse/logistics environment responsible for overall material movement and inventory control activities which support production.
 
If successful you will be assisting on projects throughout the UK, Italy, Spain, France and Germany – so candidates with whom are bi-lingual will be preferred. Preferably you will have knowledge of installation, fit out or build out projects or experience of a warehouse/logistics environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling of team, layout/ site map, inventory accuracy, safety, housekeeping and provision of Oracle training
  • Directing daily activities of Material Handlers, Inventory Coordinator and Receiving Clerk
  • Ensuring that all NPSG, client and general contractor health, safety and environmental policies and processes are complied with and that the health and safety of the entire team as well as visitors to the site is prioritized
  • Improving overall material movement and planning
  • Preparing/Maintaining material movement paperwork, including UPS
  • Labelling of all received products with Quality Control department and transferring shipments to storage locations
  • Maintaining an organised inventory and devising ways to optimise inventory management and control procedures and processes
  • Inventory management and control; data input of all received and shipped products
  • Providing Root Cause Analysis for inventory discrepancies and developing and implementing corrective actions as neede
Required profile:
 
Physical requirements:
  • Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking large distances in the warehouse
  • Lifting and movement of parts and tools requiring bending and carrying, within the safe limits dictated by relevant country’s legislation

Skills and Experience required:

  • Relevant vocational qualification required but not mandatory, preferably in supply chain management or materials planning management
  • Proven experience as Inventory Manager or similar position with minimum 2 year’s previous warehouse experience
  • Strong relevant knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental requirements
  • Forklift Operator licence required
  • Bi – Lingual – successful applicants must speak fluent English along with either German, Spanish, Italian or French
You must possess the right to work in the country of employment & across the EEA; be willing and able to travel; possess a valid European driving licence and willing to drive internationally; and be able to qualify for an ESTA visa for travel to the USA.
