    Materials engineers are responsible for management of Standard Master Data request processes within agreed timelines while ensuring availability of proper approval/guidance from the Technical Authority to meet Technical Standards, Variety Control, Law & Regulation and HSE Standards.

    Job duties include:

    • Selection of Material Master Data for projects and cleansing activities
    • Technical specification of used Material Masters
    • Technical support for Material Master selection
    • Update of catalogue in relation to changing environment (DIN, manufacturer, suppliers)
    • Publishing agreed standards (Results from Working groups)
    • De-Duplication of Catalogues
    • Execution of Material Master maintenance and assist requestor-process
    • Act as focal point for material requests.
    • Provides stakeholder trainings for UWL (Universal Work List) and request forms.
    • Create, update and requests object links (BOM, Contracts, Reservation, stocking, …)
    • Harmonisation of catalogue Materials
    • Representation of interests of German CoBs against global FO-Data organisation
    • Ensuring local requirement related to system- and process-development in direct contact to GSAP and Streamline
    • Testing and training of developments (Super user role)
    • Ensuring compliance to Material Master related controls. (SOX/FCDD)
    • Participation in working groups with publication of results in GSAP-Catalogue.
    • Development and maintenance of standards in the catalogue (Content, descriptions, Value, Schema)


    • Electrical Engineer (preferable), Engineer in Process-control and/or automation,
    • Technical Business Administrator & Master Data Management, Bachelor or proven ability to act on this level with experience in disciplines as described above.
    • Good command of English and very good level of German preferable Experience in one of (min 1-2 years):
    • Awareness about record management, Maintenance strategies, Materials design in specific discipline is preferable
    • Knowledge of SAP system is welcome
    • Analytical skills, open to different views and opinions.
