Your responsibilities

  • Product Management Teams

  • Product Management activity for all Products & Services offered by GPB (split into 5 main areas) – Discretionary Services; Alternatives & Capital Markets; Advisory, Funds & Wealth; ESG; Credit

  • Development, launch and ongoing maintenance of GPBs Products & Services throughout their full lifecycle, including the definition and implementation of the relevant Target Operating Model; Global/Local Product Committee approvals; pricing analysis; Legal analysis and documentation; Tax implication; Regulatory analysis; process definition; platform requirements analysis; marketing material creation; communications, training, client migration strategies (where required); solution design; change management etc

  • Co-ordination of, and completion of, Global Product Reviews in accordance with relevant schedules in order to obtain approval at relevant Global/Local Product Committees, then effective tracking and swift resolution any issues identified during the reviews.

  • Management of 3rd Party Service Providers engaged in the provision of Products &/or Services to GPB (Global Private Bank)

  • Oversight activities required for outsource arrangements (with any 3rd Party Service providers who support GPBs Products & Services), including the collation and timely production of KPI, KRI and metric data for submission to relevant committees

  • Ownership and management of elements of Business projects covering GPB Product and Service palette

  • Identification, management and ownership of the resolution of Operational Risks associated to GPBs Global Product & Service offering, where appropriate including the resolution of relevant issues raised via reviews conducted by Audit, Regulatory Compliance, Sales Quality, FCC (Financial Crime Compliance) etc

  • Accurate maintenance of GPBs Global Product Inventory

  • Regulatory Change & Technical Delivery Team

  • Responsible for the definition, assessment, deployment and ongoing support of multi-jurisdictional Regulatory change

  • Support the IPG ESG Team in the practical development, evolution and ongoing maintenance of the framework that delivers GPB’s ESG strategy

  • Assure the quality and availability of data in conjunction with GPB Chief Data Office, data providers and the central data maintenance teams, to ensure reliable, complete and accurate asset data is maintained

  • Maintenance of the GPB Product & Services Operating Framework that defines GPB’s overarching approach to the development and management of all products and services

  • Creation and maintenance of any additional frameworks that support overall product governance activities e.g. asset class frameworks and assurance frameworks

  • Creation and coordination of the Global Product Committee packs, associated action logs, monthly product pipeline and dashboards

  • Periodic reconciliation of the GPB Product & Services Inventory and subsequent annual re-certification at the Global Product Committee

  • Completion of the quarterly ‘Continuous Monitoring Plan’ and collation/analysis of the ‘Effectiveness Reviews’ that assess the effectiveness of the Global Product Committee

  • Coordination and contribution to all projects and initiatives to align product governance activities across GPB and Wealth

  • Provide support and maintenance for the production of MiFID II ex-ante documents and facilitate the production of the ex-post documents for EMEA entities on an annual basis

  • Facilitate the production of Target Market reporting to third party manufacturers on a periodic / quarterly basis

Our requirements

  • Good understanding of product management (lifecycle); outsource management and risk & control oversight

  • A good understanding of investment and credit products and services within a Private Banking environment

  • Strong understanding of Front to Back processes

  • Proven experience in an environment that demands organisational agility and getting results through effective management of processes;

  • Strong understanding of Risk & Control and the ability to interpret Regulation to ensure that team functionality remains in line with requirements

  • Practical experience working within a global product/business management role with a good understanding of regulatory and risk frameworks.

  • Ability to detect, identify and define problems then design effective solutions and implement appropriate controls

  • Experience of defining, writing and maintaining process and procedures manuals

  • Proven man-management, team building and staff development skills

  • Proven experience in managing complex projects

  • Highly organised with exemplary attention to detail

  • Self-motivated, driven and delivery focused, with a good understanding of project management disciplines and techniques

  • Highly adaptable with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and independently

  • Effective presentation, interpersonal, negotiation and analytical skills together with strong English verbal and written communication abilities

  • Strong IT skills (Excel, PPT, Word)

  • Understanding of GPB Strategy and the HSBC Group

  • Certificate in Investment Management and/or other recognised professional banking/investment qualifications beneficial

IPG Digital Support Team

  • Responsible for supporting the Investment Services Product Lead in executing their responsibilities for managing the development of the IPG digital capabilities

  • Driving improvements in client experience, internal efficiency and supporting business growth

  • Gathering, analysing and developing business requirements

  • Supporting the development of the IPG Digital roadmap and prioritisation of demand

  • Assisting the Digital change management process

  • Undertaking client and staff journey mapping to contextualise the overall client and IC experience

  • Defining MVP and roadmap

  • Prioritisation of delivery and ensuring that the solutions align with internal user experience standards and technical design

IPG Risk & Suitability Support Team

  • Oversight of Operational Risk issues related to IPG which exist globally and within local GPB offices

  • Assistance with the collation and production of Risk based MI including global reporting of all risk and control assessments, issue remediation and incident reports

  • Sharing Operational Risk issues identified in Local GPB offices with other offices to provide a read-across of issues to identify common occurrences and prevent repetition of the same issues

  • Preparation of Global IPG Business Control Committee pack materials, and assistance with the drafting of key updates and decision papers relating to operational risk matters

  • Designing and implementing consistent control frameworks and documenting global procedures as required.

  • Support ownership of Business Readiness activities and Business Continuity Planning for global outsourcing arrangements.

  • Working with key stakeholders across the Three Lines of Defence to ensure that the suitability framework remains compliant with regulatory requirements at global and local level

  • Investigating suitability related concerns arising from KRI monitoring, Sales Quality results, CMAT reports etc

  • Analysing complex operational risk issues, and making recommendations to Senior Management regarding tactical and strategic action which should be taken.

  • The role will also be ultimately responsible for:

  • the creation, approval, delivery and ongoing maintenance of the relevant Desk Procedure Manuals that support the IPG COO Support Teams activities

  • the definition and implementation of the necessary Governance Frameworks required to support the IPG COO Support Teams activities

  • the definition and implementation of the necessary Controls required to support the IPG COO Support Teams activities

  • the definition and implementation of the necessary KRIs/KPIs/MI Dashboards required to track and oversee the activities performed by the IPG COO Support Team
