Three years ago it successfully merged into the newly created Global Business Services organization. This allows us to expand our global activities and support even further. To strengthen our Application Team we are looking for the IS Application Specialist for Risk Management Tools who has prior experience in supporting software applications.

Your responsibilities

  • Incidents and problems management and resolution
  • Application configuration and administration according to process
  • Collaboration with Operations, Software Delivery Teams and other dependent IT Teams
  • User access management
  • Writing technical documentation and building knowledge database for the Support Teams
  • Utilizing your understanding of existing IS application technology and business requirements to guide colleagues in implementation and operation.
  • Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in IT environment (preferably IT Financial Systems support)
  • Experience in supporting enterprise web software applications
  • Ability to manage multiple demands on time, working with cross-functional, and international teams.
  • A collaborative, solutions and customer service-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
  • Analytical skills
  • Experience in writing technical and support documentation
  • Working knowledge of collaboration tools (MS SharePoint/OneNote)
  • Basic SQL knowledge will be a plus
  • ITIL methodology experience will be a plus
  • Able to understand both IT and Business point of view
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
